So simple but so effective.
Some folk were able to complete the whole picture unaided, others could add the paint once the basic shape was drawn for them, or there was the option of producing your own interpretation.
An activity accessible to a range of abilities.

The finished pieces look great.

We loaded our cup cakes so generously that teaspoons were needed in order for us to eat them without getting too sticky. Love the creativity that went into decorating the cakes.

We ended the week writing our prayers on strips of paper that we could make into a 'prayer chain'.
The folk who have participated during the week in praying our way around the world would like to revisit this idea again so we'll be holding onto the map to colour some more in later on.

Today was meant to be our beach trip. We waited until after the school summer break so that it wouldn't be too busy as Frinton and Walton are popular places to visit ... and look at the weather! No beach trip on a rainy and windy day. 🙁

Nevermind, we spent some time trying to name all the plagues mentioned in Exodus and talked about what we learn about God from this. We added to our prayer map Ukraine and Gaza. We enjoyed the company of volunteers while doing some colouring and eating cake.

We would like to be able to frame some of our art so that it can be displayed on the shelves in our lounge. With this in mind, we are seeking a selection of different sized frames. If you have one that you're no longer using or were going to throw away because the glass broke, please consider gifting it to us.

Thank you.

We're praying our way around the world this week, colouring in the map as we pray for a particular country.
I've printed coloured maps of each continent to help us locate countries and today we started in Africa.
The group chose to focus their prayers in Nigeria, Chad, Sudan and Zimbabwe.

If you're praying for a particular country right now, do let us know in the comments and we'll add it to our map as we're not going to reach everywhere in one week.

Life at Luff House

Fulfilled Living

In every one of our homes and schemes we express God’s love through compassion and care that helps people live life to the full - fulfilled living.

Luff House has an active social life in which residents can take part or follow their own pursuits. We appreciate that each resident has their own individual interests, hobbies and pastimes, and we endeavour to support our residents to maintain this important part of their lives. Our residents are encouraged to lead the lifestyle that they choose, doing as much or as little as they want - residents can simply choose to put their feet up with a daily paper (by arrangement) or a good book from the County Library which visits every month, or from the home’s own collection.
