Thoughtful Thursdays

Giving someone a compliment can change the vibration of their whole day!

You may never know how much someone needs to hear some kind words and the difference it will make to their lives.

The bonus is that it's free 🫢 and comes with a complimentary exchange.

As we put out high vibrational intentions and words, guess what we invite back?

As I was writing this post and thinking about the impact it could have on others and I smiled. My heart opened a little bit.

Straight away, I got a phone call from a loved one, giving me some compliments to boost my day.

It has a knock on affect and can be a simple yet effective practice.

It doesn't have to be someone you know. You can compliment a stranger.

Even if someone does something nice for you, you could return the compliment by reminding them how kind they are and what a gift that is.

Be careful of compliments that are too structured. Let it come from the heart not the conditioned mind. You dont need to overthink it, e.g., complimenting someone on losing weight can be about conditioning and your own insecurities rather than the person and could be triggering.

Reminding the person they are beautiful and they shine in your eyes doesn't have to be justified with why...its just a feeling and reminds the person of their unconditional worth.

Follow your heart and let the compliments flow 🫢 I wonder how long the energy will take to flow right back to you? πŸ˜‰

Have a beautiful day, spread a little joy 😊

Wonderful Wednesdays ✨️

Post a glimmer

A glimmer is a term coined by Deb Dana and can help us to feel more regulated in our nervous system. It can be a memory of an experience or a cue, e.g., an evening out with friends or the sound of rain fall.

It can be an uplifting, fun or exciting memory or perhaps even a time where you felt really rested and relaxed, it can involve others or a time of solitude, it doesn't have to be big or elaborate, it might be as simple as remembering the best hot chocolate you ever had. It could also be a physical cue e.g. an uplifting scent that you wear and can access when you need.

If you don't have a glimmer that comes to mind, where can you find one using your awareness?

Post your glimmers below so we can inspire each other to find more of them

This is a recent glimmer, feeling nurtured by friend with homemade food and lovely company in the sunshine πŸ’œ

Welcome to Tapping Tuesday's

Join me for some Emotional Freedom Technique, to get your energy flowing.

Today, we are focusing on Anger!
It can be a difficult emotion to express for various reasons but when we bottle anger it vecomes harmful to our selves, our wellbeing and relationships.

EFT is a harmless technique but can gently bring emotions to the surface so if you are unsure if it's for you or prefer to work supported then skip this one.

You can repeat the video as many times as you like, you may want to just listen at first as this can still have benefits.

Drink plenty of water through your day afterwards to keep flushing through the energy.

You may want to follow this practice with some mantra, journaling, Movement to support yourself and anger release. If you do this try to allow some time for calming afterwards this could be laying down, yoga nirda, gentle breathwork etc

Feel free to send to someone who might need this πŸ’œπŸ’«

I'd love to know if you have tried it and if it helped you at all...please leave a comment, so I know if I should make more of these πŸ™

Moody Monday's

How are you feeling today?

Being able to tune into our emotions is a superpower.

It's an important skill linked to emotional intelligence and supports us in self-regulation.

Unfortunately, there is still so much shame and stigma around voicing our feelings.

There are worn-out beliefs about what it means to express our feelings and how people who express their feelings need to be managed or treated.

I'd like to reframe that

Acknowledging how you feel is key to managing your wellbeing.

It's safe to acknowledge feelings. I trust you have the ability to find your way through your feelings, if you can create time for them to be expressed and processed✨️

We all have feelings, some of us are just better at bottling them or expressing them in other ways e.g. passive aggressiveness, bullying, numbing etc

These coping techniques can have a negative impact on our relationships and sense of connection that links to our overall emotional state and wellbeing.

How are you feeling today?

Drop an emoji, or word whether it's happy, sad, somewhere in between all of the above or none of these ⬇️ no advice or trying to fix it, just an opportunity to hear it yourself, create reflection and an opportunity to ask yourself, "what do I need right now?"

Welcome to Surrender Sunday's

Every now and then it's healthy to just let go.

It might be putting away the to do list, taking time for deep rest, practicing some self care, declutteting with breathwork, meditation, EFT.

It could be letting go of control, finding flow in movement, mantra, art or something that you don't usually allow. It does not have to be perfect!!

As we let go we become less concerned with outcomes. We learn just to be, in the moment and the value and peace that comes with that.

Surrender is not about expectation, its about yielding and that can feel vulnerable but it can also ferl very powerful when we create safe conditions to practice the pause.

There may have bern times where it felt scary to surrender, but thst doesn't mean you can't find ways to surrender on your own terms now.

Reclaim your power to let go, reclaim your sense of self-worth in doing f all, even just fir a little while.

Your body mind and soul will thank you for it.
Post your stories, photos or give this a like if this resonates with you. Alternatively don't feel pressured to do any of that 🀣

Wishing you a beautiful day with moments of pause, surrender and reset πŸ’œ

Welcome to Foodie Fridays!

A post about connecting through food.

I have a big passion for food πŸ˜‹ It's more than just food for me it's connection. I love sharing food and making it with love.

I've had a tricky relationship with food over the years, yo yo dieting and being cruel to my body. I don't "diet" any more, I just try and listen to my body and create a better dialogue so I'm kinder to myself.

The conditioning still creeps in here and there, but I'm less afraid of it. If you grew up in the 80's/ 90's you'll know what I mean.

I've been making home made treats at Shine events lately and have really enjoyed sharing with others, I often hear participants share their recipe tips with each other which I love. It could be a snack not a full on meal.

What this is not...

This is not a post to label food as good or bad.

It's not apost about judgement or how well you ate

It's not a post to say look at how much I can afford or suggest that certain foods are better than others.

I myself have been a plant based eater for quite a few years now, but I'm not here to judge only to share and generate joy.

Do..
Post pictures of food that brought you joy
Share recipes and tips
Inspire each other to cook or bake something

I appreciate this won't be for everyone ( so no pressure, you do you.)

The picture is of some home grown veggies gifted from others combined with some herbs from the garden and a ship bought cartot/ celery.

I was over the moon to recieve this and was originally going to make courgette pasta but then decided to put them all together in a brothy type soup, which was yummy πŸ˜‹

This gave me so much dopamine! Firstly recieveing veggies that someone had lovingly grown ( I'm terrible at gardening) then thinking about how to creatively use them, then bringing a recipe together and cooking either love ( I love that part especially when I have time to take it slow and enjoy the process of cooking) I don't love the mess I
after so much though 🀣

Then, finally, the enjoyment of tasting all the flavours and sharing a meal with a loved one.

Thank you for the veggies they were appreciated.
What foods have brought you joy this week?
