At Kirsty Harris Physiotherapy we provide expert Physiotherapy consultations and treatments tailored to all your musculoskeletal, orthopaedic and sports injury needs. Hi, I’m Kirsty Harris, an experienced musculoskeletal physiotherapist passionate about helping you recover from pain, injury, and surgery. I qualified with a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy from the University of Huddersfield in 2005 and
have worked in a variety of settings, including the NHS, private practice, the Ministry of Defence, and sports physiotherapy. I started my career working in NHS hospitals across South Wales, treating patients both on the wards and in outpatient clinics. Early on, I developed a strong passion for musculoskeletal physiotherapy, which led me to progress into senior NHS roles. I developed my skills to become an Orthopaedic Physiotherapy Practitioner at Royal Berkshire NHS Trust, where I had the privilege of working closely with a world-renowned shoulder professor at the Reading Shoulder Unit. In this role, I was responsible for assessing, treating, and rehabilitating patients with a wide range of complex shoulder and upper limb conditions, many of which were both challenging and fascinating. In 2014, I moved into locum work, primarily within the Ministry of Defence, where I worked as a Senior Physiotherapist in residential rehabilitation, outpatient clinics, and multidisciplinary assessment teams. My role involved treating military personnel with a wide range of sports-related and general injuries, as well as rehabilitating soldiers with life-changing injuries, supporting their transition out of the forces and helping them plan for their future as civilians. Alongside my clinical work, I have always had a keen interest in sports physiotherapy, providing pitch-side cover and injury management for amateur and academy-level rugby teams. Throughout my career, I have developed a wide range of expertise, combining hands-on treatments, rehabilitation techniques, and personalised exercise programs to help my patients recover, move better, and stay pain-free. My skills include:
✅ Mobilisation & Manipulation
✅ Acupuncture, Dry Needling & Injection Therapy
✅ Pilates (Trained with APPI – a world-leading provider)
✅ Shockwave Therapy & Taping
✅ Developing tailored rehabilitation and exercise programs
I love working with people from all backgrounds—whether you're recovering from surgery, managing an injury, or simply looking to improve movement and prevent pain. I particularly enjoy teaching classes and empowering my patients to take control of their health and well-being.
