With the beautiful weather, Elmbrook resident Pam and Lifestyle Manager Sharon spent a lovely afternoon in the garden, weeding and planting new flowers 🌸🌿

They were soon joined by friends, who all enjoyed soaking up the sunshine together ☀️ A perfect way to spend a spring afternoon!

Activities like this not only support wellbeing and mobility, but also bring a wonderful sense of purpose and connection to nature

Today at Elmbrook we celebrated Mother’s Day with all our wonderful residents, team members, and the lovely visitors who came to spend time with their loved ones. 💐

Our residents were treated to beautiful flowers and heartfelt cards to celebrate them. Whether a mother or not, each of them has shared care, kindness, and love in a truly mothering way at some point in their lives. 💗

We also enjoyed some delicious cakes kindly prepared by our wonderful chef Jimmy and our Head of Hospitality Adriano, along with a lovely afternoon tea in our little coffee corner. 🍰☕🌷

It has been such a beautiful day filled with love, smiles, and special moments shared together.

Today our lovely resident Penny decided she wanted to help out in the dining rooms 💛

Penny asked if she could have a uniform so she could officially become part of the team and feel included.
Of course we couldn’t say no! 😊

She was so proud putting on her uniform and helping our staff, bringing smiles to everyone around her.

Moments like this remind us how special our little community is and how important it is that everyone feels valued and involved.

Well done Penny – our newest (and cutest!) member of the team 👏

We enjoyed a wonderful afternoon at Elmbrook Court with the Vale Islanders 🎶

What an amazing performance by the dancers, singers, and musicians, bringing beautiful 17th-century dances and music to life.

It was truly magical for us all to see and hear ✨
A lovely afternoon filled with history, music, and wonderful company.

✨ We had a wonderful time attending the Oakland Care Awards yesterday, where our amazing Assistant Practitioner Abi was a finalist in the Learning and Development Award!

We are incredibly proud of Abi and everything she has achieved. Over the past two years she has worked so hard to develop in her role, continuously growing her skills and sharing her knowledge with colleagues while delivering truly excellent care to those we support.

Abi is also an outstanding in-house trainer, making sure our whole team has the training and confidence they need to do their jobs to the very best of their ability. Her dedication, positivity and passion for learning make such a difference every single day.

We’re excited to launch our Easter Colouring Competition and there are prizes to be won across three age groups! 🎨🏆

Ages 4 - 6, 7 - 9 and 10 - 12

🐰 How to take part:
• Collect your Easter-themed colouring sheet from our Reception or alternatively email reception at reception.ec@oaklandcare.com and we can send it to you for printing at home - please remember to state what age category you require
• Get creative and colour it in
• Return your finished masterpiece by 30th March

We can’t wait to see all the fantastic Easter creations! 🐥🌷
