🧩💜 Puzzle Time Fun with Anne & Heidi! 💜🧩

Resident Anne had a wonderful afternoon enjoying one of her favourite activities — puzzles! 🧠✨ With the support of our lovely Health Care Assistant Heidi, the two spent time together solving colourful challenges on the large interactive tablet screen.

Anne absolutely loves puzzles — they help her stay sharp and bring her so much joy. And with the big, easy-to-use touch screen, she finds it even more enjoyable! 💻🌟🎉😄🧩

It’s beautiful to see how technology can bring both connection and fun — and with caring support from staff like Heidi, it becomes an even more meaningful experience. 💕

An Afternoon of Music and Joy 🎷🎶

This afternoon, we were treated to a special concert performance by the incredible Mr. Alan Hook, a truly talented saxophone player.

His sing-along tunes lifted everyone's spirits and had voices ringing joyfully throughout our home.

It was a heartwarming experience that brought smiles, music, and a wonderful sense of togetherness to our community. Thank you, Mr. Hook, for sharing your gift with us!

👶💙 Today was a truly special day — our lovely resident Pam finally got to meet baby Leo! 🍼✨

Pam shares a very special bond with Leo’s mummy and our wonderful health care assistant, Kelly 👩‍⚕️❤️. She’s been so excited throughout the pregnancy, even helping to make the baby shower extra special 🎉🎁.

And today, the moment finally came — cuddles with baby Leo! 🥰👵👶 It was a beautiful, emotional moment that lit up Pam’s whole day, and she hasn’t stopped talking about him all afternoon 🗣️😊

Church Visit – A Spiritually Uplifting Experience

Two of our residents this morning, had the pleasure of attending a heartfelt service at Holy Trinity Church in Wantage, they were warmly welcomed by the congregation.
The kindness and hospitality shown by the church community made the visit especially meaningful, and the service was deeply appreciated by all who attended.

Life Skills Shopping Trip

Today, resident Jean enjoyed a lovely outing to the Co-op as part of our life skills activity. Jean chose this shop as it brought back fond and happy memories. While browsing, Jean picked up some delicious chocolate to share with everyone at the home – a thoughtful gesture much appreciated by all.
After returning, she relaxed with a nice cup of tea in the bistro, sharing stories and enjoying each other’s company. ☕🍫

Tonight at Elmbrook Court, we had an absolutely fantastic Pub Quiz Night — the room was full, the drinks were flowing 🍺🍷, the pork scratchings were crunchy 🐷 and the laughter was non-stop! 😂

Thanks to all your generosity, we raised £140 for Sobell House💙 — a small gesture we hope makes a meaningful difference.

We are delighted to share that our Care Home's newly revamped dedicated Memory Care Floor will be launching to the wonderful community of very soon!

The home looks forward to welcoming families and loved ones, as well as local dignitaries, to join them in celebrating this meaningful enhancement to Elmbrook Court.

The new Memory Care floor has been thoughtfully designed with every detail in mind. From the textured walls that evoke a familiar family tree with cherished photos of residents, each feature is designed to create a warm and nurturing environment.

Imagine a dressing table that helps unlock memories, with views of the countryside to inspire peace and reflection. Additionally, a sensory room features relaxing music and soothing lights to provide comfort and tranquillity, as well as a dedicated and safe outdoor space for residents. 💮💙

These thoughtful touches extend beyond mere decoration; they embody our commitment to elevate and create a caring environment where our residents can feel loved, cherished, and genuinely cared for.💮💙

What a delightful afternoon with Tony Payne and his hilarious puppets!

Our residents had an absolute blast enjoying the fun, laughter, and a few unexpected sing-alongs with Tony the ventriloquist.

His playful puppets and quick wit brought smiles to every face and created heartwarming moments we won’t soon forget.
It’s events like these that truly lift spirits and bring our community closer together.
