I feel many pregnant women are unsure of what exercises they 'should be doing' and what exercises they 'should be avoiding' during pregnancy. So, with my specialism in prenatal exercise I am here to help! Exercising through pregnancy can reduce common prenatal discomforts such as swelling, fatigue, muscle cramps, urinary incontinence, unstable pelvis and lower back pain. Join me for 1:1 sessions that include functional strength training, core stability and flexibility during pregnancy. Come away knowing you are doing the best for you and your baby. POSTNATAL EXERCISE
After 2 traumatic births, my boys zap any spare time I have! I'm now more of a runner and try and stay fit & healthy in-between being 'mum'. Thankfully us women get exceptionally good at multi-tasking! Clawing back your fitness post birth can seem like a mountain to climb but exercise will give you a physical and mental boost, that spring in your step and aid postnatal recovery. With my specialist knowledge in postnatal exercise and NUTRITION for healing and recovery you will get fitter for your task ahead...motherhood. 😭 Post 40 women can lose 3-8% of muscle mass per decade
😭 This translates into a 1-2% strength loss per year
😭 The decline in Estrogen plays a massive part in this....

BUT THE GOOD NEWS....

πŸ’ͺ Increasing protein intake

Success.

It has a different meaning for all the Women I train. Some train for general health & longevity, others competitions and/or strength gains & increased muscle mass.

What matters is setting clear goals, staying consistent, and aligning workouts with individual needs. Tailored strategies that take into account hormonal cycles, bone density, metabolism, and lifestyle demands.

For Alex the Jurassic Coast half marathon hike was her first ever organised event, something she thought was impossible to achieve a year ago.

We have worked together weekly to improve her overall fitness & confidence. You have got to believe in yourself and your ability to step outside of your comfort zone & give it your best shot.

Alex certainly smashed this challenge and without even a blister!!! I'm sure this is only the start of her journey but for now HUGE congratulations, WELL DONE!! πŸ‘πŸ™Œ

Good old fashioned circuits tonight 30/10 x 6 plus a sprinkling of paired ab work to add some spice. I think there might be some sore muscles tomorrow 😜
