I honestly can’t think of a better way to spend my day… helping horses feel their best in the warm sun 🐴☀️
This is Molly soaking up the sunshine 💛
I often get asked why some horses become so sleepy during a chiropractic treatment… and Molly is a perfect example.
As the body begins to release tension and the nervous system settles, many horses shift into a deeply relaxed state. You’ll often see soft eyes, a lowered head, and sometimes even a little doze as they let go and unwind. It’s a lovely sign that they’re comfortable and responding to the treatment.
In some cases, your horse may also be releasing months or even years’ worth of built-up misalignments and tension — something they don’t always get the chance to fully let go of. Over time, this can build up and contribute to issues further down the line, which is why these moments of release are so important.
That said, this doesn’t happen every time — horses are just like us. They can have off days, feel a bit distracted, or find it harder to switch off. But more often than not, when I return to see them again, they’re ready to relax and release.
