Following our lively celebrations over the weekend, residents at the care home enjoyed a 'Lazy Bank Holiday’ as they relaxed and took in the warm weather. Many spent the afternoon strolling through the garden, while others enjoyed quieter pursuits like sipping tea, catching up on the news with a newspaper, jigsaws or immersing themselves in the calm of colouring. The day was filled with easy conversation and a peaceful, relaxed atmosphere, providing a perfect end to a fulfilling weekend.

Residents reveled in the carnival atmosphere as we came together in the garden, sharing laughter and conversation. The air was filled with the sounds of a steel band playing on a CD, creating the perfect backdrop for an afternoon of fun. Everyone enjoyed the refreshing mocktails and delicious fruit platters, along with the mouthwatering coconut and pineapple cakes. Friendly games brought out our competitive spirit, and the collective feeling of community made the day truly special…

Stuart from STU-Fitness recently led residents through an exciting and energetic session of armchair Zumba, putting their fitness to the test right from their seats. The event was a huge success, with everyone participating enthusiastically. We want to extend our thanks to Stuart for his time and effort; we're also delighted to announce that he will be putting us through our paces on a regular basis. We believe that regular exercise, no matter how gentle, is vital for both physical and mental well-being, and this fun session was a perfect reminder of that.

On World Photography Day, residents came together to share some of their favourite photos and discuss what makes a great photograph. They reflected on how a single moment in time can be captured forever, serving as a powerful reminder of memories from the past. The group also had the unique opportunity to examine a vintage camera that belonged to the Lifestyle Coordinator’s grandfather, sparking conversation about the evolution of photography and the cherished stories behind each image.
