Hello to all my lovely friends and clients! I hope that you are all keeping safe and well as we continue to navigate these very challenging times.
As many of you will know, I am a massage therapist at the Wantage Osteopathic Practice, and I wanted to let you know my plans for getting back to work. As for so many of you with local businesses, not being able to do my job and help people these past 12 weeks has been heart-breaking. With social distancing set to become a way of life for some time, the therapeutic power of touch has never been more elusive - or more desperately needed.
I have been keeping up to date with government announcements regarding the reopening of massage businesses, which fall into the same category as hairdressers and beauty salons. At present we are told the earliest we could reopen is 4 July, so in the hopes that this doesn't change, I am in the process of readying myself for a return to work soon.
In order to ensure I work in the safest possible way, I will have to operate slightly differently, with a prioritised service initially. I will be booking appointments soon for early July and will be asking a series of triage questions before booking you in. I will need to leave space between appointments to allow for social distancing between clients, and to give time for cleaning and airing the treatment room. I will be wearing PPE including a surgical grade mask, washing my hands before and after treatments and sterilising surfaces between every client including the massage table, equipment, desks, chairs, door handles etc.
I will be contacting regular clients, and anyone who was booked in when lockdown started, to rebook and to give further info. If you have any questions re. booking an appointment or how I will be working to ensure your safety, please do ask. The health and safety of my clients (and their family and friends) is always my top priority.
Looking forward to returning to work and seeing many of you again soon!
