New research by Sport England shows a 12% increase in women taking part in gym activities since last year🔥

A rise was also seen amongst young people and residents living in the most deprived areas of England.

Why is this so important?

💡 It can transform girls' mental health - at a time when young women's anxiety is spiralling upwards, exercise is a vital part of countering this worrying trend

🙌 By venturing into the weights section - many of whom for the first time - young women are breaking the stereotype that to be feminine is to be small; they're taking up space unapologetically, just as the incredible Red Roses did this summer

🦴 Young women know what weight-bearing exercises can do for their future health - reducing the likelihood of developing conditions like osteoporosis which disproportionately affects women

The Chief Medical Officer recommends 2 strength training sessions per week, defined as an activity in which muscles feel some tension, shake or feel warm.

It's brilliant to see women, and young women in particular, prioritising their future health and not shying away from taking up space in a world that continues to make them feel small.

We did 60 mins of PT and then finished with a 30minute leg massage. My lovely client has been suffering with knee pain so we worked on her very tight quads, hamstrings, IT band and calfs.

“Body Positivity” Shouldn’t Ignore the Medical Reality

This is a real X-ray showing the stark contrast between the human skeleton and excess body mass in severe obesity.

The bones are the same as anyone else's, but they are under immense strain.

This isn't just about appearance
• The spine is crushed under pressure
• The hips and knees deform over time
• The heart is pushed beyond its limits
• Organs like the liver and pancreas become overwhelmed
• The risk for cancer, stroke, and diabetes climbs rapidly

Fat isn't just 'extra'... It is dangerous.
It isn't beautiful. It is deadly.

Obesity is a chronic and complex disease, not a body type. And while it is serious, it is also treatable and preventable.

For some, perhaps most, this all sounds a bit….whaky, but, I do believe in the healing power of crystals ❤️😊

Just before Christmas, feeling burnt out (as a lot of us were), I turned to my Step Mum for some guidance on what Crystals may offer some help.

She put together this little bag of joy 🤩.

Sitting on my windowsill, charging their energy from the sun, I’m choosing which one will serve me today.

I hope you all have a wonderful day, embrace everything and if it’s all gets too much, focus on breath for 60 secs to calm 😌.
