🥧 Homemade Jam Tarts – Simple, Sweet, and Delicious! 🍓
Making jam tarts is such a lovely (and tasty!) way to enjoy fresh fruit. With just a few ingredients, or a little shortcut like we took with ready-made shortcrust pastry, you can whip up a treat that’s perfect for any occasion!

We had so much fun mixing our favourite fruity fillings and baking them until golden brown. These sweet little tarts didn’t last long… and they definitely hit the spot! 😋💕

🤠🎶 Country & Western Fun at St Katharine’s!

At St Katharine’s, we love embracing different themes and creating the perfect atmosphere for our residents. From live performances to themed events, we believe a little theatre and fun can truly enhance any experience.

This week, we enjoyed a lively afternoon of Country & Western music with Charmaine, which transported us straight to the world of cowboys and cowgirls! 🎸🌵

We couldn’t help but tap our feet and sing along to some classic tunes — a wonderful time was had by all! 🎤👢💃

🚤☀️ A Perfect Day Out on the Thames! 🌊🍽️

A huge thank you to WABC - Wallingford Accessible Boat Club and their amazing volunteers, we couldn’t have asked for a better day this week!

We started with a delicious lunch at The Boat House, where the food was fantastic, the service top-notch, and the views absolutely stunning. 😍

Then came the highlight, our first ever boat trip with ! It was such a peaceful, relaxing journey along the Thames, made even better by the friendly and informative crew who shared wonderful insights about the sights along the way. (It was so calming, even Roy had a little nap! 😴)

The weather couldn’t have been better, and our lovely driver Shoo was incredibly accommodating – a real gem 💎.

Thank you again to WABC and their incredible team for making this special day possible. We’re so grateful for your kindness and care. 💙

There’s nothing quite as lovely as homemade cake! 🍰

Today, we made some delicious fridge cake, simple, sweet, and full of memories. 💛
As we finished, our residents fondly reminisced about licking the bowl clean after helping Mum in the kitchen. Such sweet moments from the past, shared with smiles today! 🥣😊

We all had such a lovely time sitting together, enjoying a cup of tea ☕️ and chatting about knitting 🧶. Knitting is a wonderful activity for easing anxiety — the familiar, repetitive motion can be calming, especially for individuals living with dementia. It also promotes a sense of accomplishment and purpose.

🌂✨ A Practically Perfect Mary Poppins Evening! ✨🌂

A fun-filled evening with a Mary Poppins theme was the perfect way to bring everyone together! 🎶 From singing along to our favourite songs to enjoying delicious snacks and a variety of drinks, the atmosphere was truly magical.

The highlight of the night? A fantastic live performance by our very own Charmaine, adding that extra special touch! 🎤💫

Everything was truly Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious! 💖

From vibrant themed BBQs to joyful garden parties, our residents had a wonderful time surrounded by friends, family, and sunshine. ❤️

It was a truly unforgettable experience exploring the charming city of . ✨

Our trip was filled with visits to famous landmarks and admiring the stunning "dreaming spires" architecture. Along the way, we also had the pleasure of meeting some lovely locals while strolling through the charming cobbled streets. After taking a refreshing break at The Covered Market Oxford , we continued our adventure with a delightful picnic at The University of Oxford Botanic Garden, the oldest botanic garden in the UK founded in 1621. 🌳
