Been there. 🧠✨

Getting my ADHD diagnosis at 58 explained everything. But discovering enabling constraints actually changed everything.

Turns out our brains aren't broken - we just need the right operating system. One that works WITH our wiring instead of against it.

Enabling constraints aren't about restriction. They're about giving your brilliant, chaotic brain the structure it craves. Time boxing. Task doubling. Automated systems that shift you from overwhelm to actual dopamine rewards.

"Self love" used to make me feel sick 🀒 It sounded so selfish and me-me-ME!
But then I discovered something that changed everything: "Me too" πŸ’­

I realised I deserved the same level of care, effort and energy that I gave to everyone else. Not more, not less - just the same.
As a recovering people pleaser, this shift helped me: ✨ Set boundaries without guilt ✨ Stop over-committing and feeling overwhelmed ✨ Be honest about my AuDHD needs ✨ Say no without writing a novel explaining why ✨ Ask for help instead of suffering in silence

That voice in your head saying you're "too much" or "not enough"?

It's lying.

If you're in midlife feeling like everyone else has it sorted whilst you're still figuring out the basics, you're not broken. You're human.
The successful executive convinced they're a fraud. The devoted parent worried they've damaged their kids. The person reframing their entire life after a late diagnosis.

I see you. You're not alone in this.

Here's what I've learned as both a therapist and someone on this journey: other people's inability to accept you isn't your problem to solve. You cannot shrink yourself into acceptability for everyone.

Real growth happens when we hold two truths: You are fundamentally worthy as you are AND you can continue to develop.
Your sensitivity isn't too much. Your intensity isn't wrong. Your way of processing the world isn't broken.

Three weeks ago, I ruptured my Achilles tendon. Twelve weeks in this stylish air boot ahead of me. I'm a quarter RoboCop! 😁

My first thought? "This is s**t! Awful. I can't drive, can't exercise, I've had to cancel so much..."

But here's the thing - I work with people every day helping them reframe negative thoughts. Time to practice what I preach.

So instead of focusing on what I *can't* do, I'm asking: what *can* this situation offer me?

✨ Deeper focus on my online sessions
✨ Chance to slow down and actually rest
✨ Opportunity to get creative with how I move forward
