You’ll find yourself going round in circles — constantly searching, constantly consuming, and constantly trying to “level up.” The need to self-improve becomes a way to seek validation rather than a path to genuine growth.
Without awareness, the journey turns into performance: another ceremony, another dieta, another initiation — all in pursuit of feeling worthy, recognised, or complete. But true healing isn’t about proving anything. It’s about unlearning, surrendering, and stripping away what is false.
The greatest ego trap in spirituality is claiming to be the healer instead of committing to the lifelong process of healing yourself. Shamanism, when misunderstood or adopted as an identity without proper lineage, humility, and integrity, can become one of the greatest traps for the ego.
To genuinely connect with sacred medicines like Hapé, vulnerability is essential. Without humility, honesty, and integrity, it can become another tool to feed the ego rather than support true transformation.
Plant medicine is not meant to create an identity — it is meant to dissolve one.
To become a true receiver, you must be willing to break yourself down. This means releasing control, confronting illusions, and approaching the medicine with respect and responsibility. Growth comes not from accumulation, but from surrender.
Hapé carries deep cultural significance rooted in Indigenous Amazonian traditions. Honouring its lineage means engaging with humility, not using it as a badge of spirituality or status.
If you feel like you’re going in circles, pause.
Vulnerability. Humility. Honesty.
This is where true connection begins.
