A four-week introduction to Tarot

Have you ever felt curious about the Tarot but didn’t quite know where to begin? ✨

Join Teila Verch Dywenys of for an immersive four-week journey into the archetypal, mythic and magical landscape of the Tarot. With 36 years of experience walking this path, Teila brings deep wisdom, warmth and wonder to guide you as you begin — or deepen — your own Tarot practice.

Whether you’re a complete beginner or looking to refresh your skills, this in-person foundation course will help you build confidence from your very first session.

No deck? No problem. Decks will be available to use, though Rider Waite Smith–based decks are encouraged if you have one.

Tea and light refreshments will be provided each evening ☕

Last weekend’s Practitioner’s Day was such a special opportunity to meet, connect, and spend time with the wider Happy River community. We chatted, we laughed, we shared stories — and we slowed down together 🫶✨🌲

We began with a grounding Qigong practice led by Conor, a truly experienced and wonderful teacher, before replenishing body and mind with contrast therapy in the forest sauna and cold plunge 🌲🔥❄️

Thank you to everyone who came and brought such open, generous energy to the space. Days like these are a gentle reminder of why community, movement, and nature matter so much.

We’re already looking forward to the next one 🌲

We’ve had a truly amazing journey years we first opened our doors 3 years ago (
after 5 years of dreaming, building & learning our way to that point before that).

When we opened those doors we didn’t know if anyone would come. Or if they did…who they would be. And boy were we surprised by just how many of you have found us and how much magic you have created here for so many. The ripple effect is huge. This is how worlds change. Personal worlds and in turn all the world they touch. And we are so grateful 💕

That’s why we’re throwing a THANK YOU event for anyone who has held an event here with us so that they, in turn, can be held on this special land in the trees for a restorative morning of Sauna, plunge, Qi-gong and a lovely plant based treat. But most of all for the chance to connect with each other in nature.
