Rachel Boyden Reflexology

Rachel Boyden Reflexology Welcome to my page! I am a fully qualified Reflexologist, based in Cuckfield. I am an IVF Mumma to my son, Edward, who was born in June 2021.

Reflexology involves the technique of massage and applying gentle pressure on the feet to encourage a deep state of relaxation and to stimulate healing processes. I decided to train in reflexology eight years ago, after having reflexology myself to help ease my stress and anxiety as a primary school teacher, and improve my sleep. I couldn’t believe how much reflexology helped me and I wanted to share this wonderful therapy with others and help them too. I have always been interested in complementary therapies, but for me, reflexology is the most fascinating and most relaxing! After 10 months of training, I gained a Level 3 Diploma in Reflexology and Anatomy and Physiology. This course allowed me full membership of the Association of Reflexologists, which means I am bound to their code of practice and committed to continued training. Since qualifying, I continued to have reflexology treatments to support me on my fertility journey and during pregnancy. I still love to have treatments when I can, as I find reflexology helps me to stay calm and improves my sense of wellbeing. It took many years and four (full) rounds of IVF to have Edward. It was the hardest and most isolating thing I have ever gone through. So, Edward really is my rainbow! Therefore, I know how tough it is when life doesn’t go to plan and you can’t, for whatever reason, get pregnant! I am extremely passionate about supporting other women on their fertility journeys, using my personal experiences. In 2019, I decided to train in Fertility Reflexology and Maternity Reflexology to help support my clients further. In 2023 I qualified in Reflexology Lymph Drainage (RLD). This is an award-winning technique, which focuses on stimulating the lymphatic reflexes on the feet – encouraging the lymph to move in the body. This specialist technique was designed to benefit sufferers of lymphoedema, after breast cancer treatment. I use it at the beginning of all my reflexology treatments, as I feel everyone can benefit from RLD. Other things about me: I enjoy practising mindfulness, gardening, cooking and walking my dog, George. Thank you for visiting my page and I look forward to welcoming you for a reflexology treatment sometime or sharing something that inspires you! Love Rachel x

January feels long and spring feels like an idea, rather than a certainty. But it is on it's way. Little glimmers of it, little signs of hope! 🌱

There is a New Moon tonight, which is the perfect time to set new intentions for the month ahead. If you did make New Year’s resolutions, this New Moon time is like a second chance!

There is growing evidence that setting intentions has a positive impact on the brain. This is the time to start a new chapter and follow your dreams! 🙏💫

🙏Take 3 deep breaths 🙏

This is something I've started doing with my son since he's started school, usually on the way to school when he's frustrated about tripping up. It's so simple, yet so effective, allowing us to stop and focus just on taking three deep breaths before walking on.

☁️Deep breath in and a long breath out.
☁️In through your nose, out through your mouth
☁️Last breath, in and out.

Focusing on your breathing helps to bring you back to the present moment, it slows down your heart rate and lowers your blood pressure. 😌

This is the perfect time of year to slow down and rest- making our wellbeing a priority.
This isn't the time for reinventing ourselves or having resolutions. It's the time for reflection and resting. ❄️🙏

January unfolds like a soft blanket, inviting us into its cosy embrace as the world slows down.
The days are shorter, and the chilly air encourages us to snuggle up and take extra naps, making it the perfect time for hibernation.
This month whispers a gentle reminder to listen to our bodies and allow ourselves the rest we crave.
We nourish not only our bodies with warm, wholesome foods but also our spirits with uplifting thoughts and affirmations.
As we curl up with a good book and a warm drink, we can use this time to dream and plan for the vibrant activities that spring will bring. This quiet season encourages us to reflect and recharge, setting the stage for renewed energy and purpose.
So, as January wraps us in its restful charm, let’s cherish these moments of relaxation, knowing that the blossoming life of spring is just around the corner, awaiting us with open arms.

Sharing my January positive affirmation of the month.

This affirmation is also really useful to use around today’s full moon. Full moon time, is the perfect opportunity to let go of the past and forgive anyone who has upset you. 🙏🌕

Today marks the winter solstice, when the sun reaches its lowest point in the sky. It’s the perfect time in the year to prioritise rest and reset your energy - just like nature is reminding us to do - lying dormant, in preparation for spring.

This day also signals a gradual return of light. What a lovely thought! 🙏

Good morning sunshine! 🙏
