Chiltern Equine Clinic was established at the turn of the millennium where we started with one clinic in South Buckinghamshire. We now cover a large area which includes Bedfordshire, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire, Hertfordshire, Hampshire, London, Essex, Middlesex, Northamptonshire and Surrey. At Chiltern Equine Clinic we pride ourselves on the commitment and support we offer our patients and clients and we are one of the best equipped equine vets of its kind in the UK having obtained the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) highest accreditation (Tier 3 Equine Hospital). Chiltern Equine Clinic is also an approved British Equine Veterinary Association (BEVA) Artificial Insemination Centre. We are taking part in World Antibiotic Awareness week! 💊 🛑

If any of our clients have any unused or out of date antibiotics, please hand them to our vets who can dispose of them safely.

Don’t hoard unused antibiotics for a rainy day. Instead, we're asking horse owners to give leftover antibiotics back to their vet when they next visit.

Why should you give them back:
💊It's better for our horses
"Giving random, leftover or old antibiotics to your horse for a suspected infection could make things worse" Dave Rendle, BEVA Immediate Past President

🥬It's better for the environment
“It is crucial not to throw old medicines away in the rubbish or flush them down the loo, as they can eventually return to the environment, contaminating soil and watercourses and cause damage to wildlife,” Roger Smith, BEVA President

💔 Remembering our beautiful veterinary nurse Jenna today... 💔

Today, our hearts are heavy as we remember our dear veterinary nurse, Jenna. She was not just a colleague but a true friend. Her dedication and love for her work were unparalleled, and her absence is deeply felt within our clinic.

Jenna you will always hold a special place in our hearts 🌈🐴

Fantastic news!

We are delighted that the UK Government announced a Bill to ban live exports to slaughter today, as part of its legislative agenda for the year ahead.

We now need this proposed Bill introduced to the UK Parliament as a matter of urgency, and passed into law before the next General Election.

Take our action now to ask your local MP to support this Bill and ensure its smooth passage through the House of Commons.
