Treatments are by appointment only. Please call 07710722615 The Wellness Centre was founded by Lee Avery in April 2017.

A complementary therapy centre where therapists and wellness consultants are passionate about achieving the optimum well-being for each and every person who visits us. The Body wants to heal itself and given the correct tools it will. I have been a Bowen Therapist for nearly seven years and two years ago I also found Matt Hudson’s Body Mind Works. Every person I meet is unique and therefore their response to treatment is individual and no one therapy is going to be suitable for them to achieve and maintain their optimum well-being. My passion was to have a centre where people can come to, to get advice and achieve a total sense of well-being. This may be through Bowen, but could equally be nutrition, foot health, Yoga or homeopathy. What we put in our bodies is so important, but if we have problems with walking because our feet hurt again we will not be feeling well. I also wanted to offer alternatives to conventional medicine and although we would never change, alter or prescribe medication, Homeopathy can certainly help in many instances without the nasty side-effects of some prescription medicines. Not to forget the lack of movement that affects many people now or on the other extreme, those that over train in their sport, Yoga has been shown to help to achieve balance in life
It was all very well having this passion but it was imperative that the therapists that came to the centre were happy to work alongside each other and cross refer to ensure the client receives the best possible care and attention

November is Movember — a month to check in with the men in our lives.

One in six men experience mental ill-health and su***de rates among men are much higher than for women. Many men won’t talk about it — shame and “man-up” expectations get in the way.

If you notice a man withdrawing, sleeping badly, drinking more, or saying things like “I’m a burden”, ask him gently, “Are you OK?” Offer to listen or help book a GP appointment or contact us here at www.thewellnesscentre.co. where we have therapists who can help.

Today marks 43 years since the passing of Tom Bowen — the visionary who created Bowen Therapy. His gentle yet powerful technique has transformed countless lives, and I’m privileged to witness its impact every day through my work with clients.

In my practice, I see how Bowen Therapy helps people find relief, balance, and renewed wellbeing — often in ways that feel truly life-changing. I’m deeply grateful for Tom’s wisdom, compassion, and the legacy he left us all.

Suffering with self-doubt or anxiety, then Action for Happiness have shared a calendar with great tips on how to create resilience.

It’s well worth working on these tips, they are very positive and helpful, however if you are finding these a challenge and you are unable to push unwelcome thoughts out of your mind please get in touch for a free chat, we have some lovely therapists who treat here, so do take a look at us all.

Personally I offer a combination of talking and hands on therapies as sometimes we may want to talk about the problem and sometimes it is so big we need a gentle hands-on therapy to calm down before we do. whereas other therapists offer hypnotherapy, counselling, NLP etc.
