I run a small, growing business that provides talks and presentations for residents in care homes across Surrey and Kent.
Our sessions are designed to inform, entertain, and spark conversation — and they make a real difference to people’s days.

As demand grows, I’m looking for two types of partners to join this journey:

If you’re confident, compassionate, and enjoy speaking to groups, this could be perfect for you.

You’ll be self-employed but supported — I handle the bookings, equipment, and materials, so you can focus on delivering great talks.

Ideal for anyone who loves storytelling, history, or community engagement.

2️⃣ Franchise Partners (UK-wide)

If you live further afield but love the idea of running your own version of this business, I’m offering franchise opportunities.
You’ll receive full training, materials, and ongoing mentorship to help you establish and grow your own local service.

Meet Nigel Dawson from Dawson Talks who has been coming to our care home since 2014, so quite some time!
On Thursday this week he came in to talk about the "Royal Coronation Celebrations".

When having a chat with him we found out before working with care homes he use to work up in the city for 30 years as a money broker...or in his words being a "Shouty Person!" ....he got made redundant, probably a good thing with all that shouting!!.....and then decided to take a career doing special talks in care homes and working from home.
We asked him what kind of talks over the years have been very popular with the residents to which he said "Decade Talks" go down very well, remembering the 1950's and 60's, Hollywood films, amazing actors and singers.
Nigel also told me a lot of his work is based around reminiscence, so he will talk about something and then show photos and also videos...it's very much these kind of things that can bring the residents to life from just sitting there to perking up and starting to chat about it....and this is what he finds so rewarding is his job.

We always look forward to having Nigel at Weybridge you can really see that he truly loves what he does, has become good friends with the residents and at the same time he also takes us all down memory lane!
