I have a plan.

Collected all these around my house yesterday. Obviously, I've been collecting little objects for a while and suddenly the idea of what to do with them had appeared.

Part decoration, part sacred object, part project. That's the sweet spot where I live.

Books I return to when I want to feel the season, not just read about it. 🌿

📖 The Almanac: A Seasonal Guide to 2025 – Lia Leendertz
A gentle, month-by-month companion to the year with folklore, nature notes, recipes, and small seasonal rituals. The kind of book you dip into rather than read straight through.

📖 The Mystical Year – Alison Davies
An accessible guide to the turning year with simple ideas and practices you can return to again and again, in your own way.

📖 Finding Albion – Zakia Sewell
A reflective journey through landscape, folklore, and identity—less about fixed traditions and more about feeling connected to place.

Which would you reach for first? 🌿

Look at the void cat ----->
I went to collect a chair and instead wandered into a side quest.

Down a grand driveway to a Grade 2 listed 18th century manor with the name of the village. You know, like, whoever lived there once was the head of the whole place. What those walls must have seen. It was stunning.

Sitting in what was soon to be my chair, a delightfully eccentric man said “You know X.” Not "hello"; the summoning if a mutual acquaintance.

And the chair…solid wood, a little worn, possibly horsehair, definitely history.
I brought her home.

Her name is now Marjorie. An old Scottish name. It means pearl, something made slowly, over time, from layers of irritation turned into something quietly precious.

She’s not perfect and neither am I.
I sat in her, slightly smug, slightly amused, entirely unpolished.

This morning, she has taken on a new role entirely. Last night I draped a cardigan over her to try and persuade the cat to sleep somewhere that isn’t directly on my internal organs. And it worked!

Marjorie fits right in.

Before, during, and after.

Little jaunt down into Devon this weekend for a family birthday party. Much prosecco was drunk and many many cousin cwtchs.

Hug your family 💖

Friday mood: draw around random objects, let tea get cold, leave yourself a note to drink more tea ☕✨🌈

Because sometimes creativity is less artistic lightning bolt of inspiration and more, “well… this was next to me.”

So if getting started feels impossible this weekend, try beginning with the nearest object and a little mild chaos.

See what happens 💜

You made it through the longest night! Thank you so much to for holding the Circle for us last night, I feel like I can carry on breathing for a while longer. I'm sad to know this is coming to an end but totally understand and its rather fitting with my year of letting go. Putting it out here that I would like similar events to join on the Wiltshire/Somerset boarder but, my work right now is to let things go without reaching for the new so I will sit with it. Solstice blessings to you all and the gradual return of the light.

Happy Winter Solstice to those on this side of the equator. To the wonderful Australians who follow me, I hope you aren't too warm!

We are celebrating today AND tomorrow and the kids are thrilled they get presents before everyone else they know. Might pop to Avebury tomorrow and I'm 3nding the day with a soundbath with Perfection.

I cannot believe how bright my hair is thanks to in Cerise and I adore the cut .hair gave me yesterday, she's magic.

When life is full beyond capacity, things get dropped. Work. Social life. Self-care. You make choices.

There are moments of uncurated joy and there is so much love.

There is also a distinct lack of sleep.

I had a really good plan for a series of dreams too. Ironic.
