New way to request an appointment at the Avenue Surgery - you can now do it online through our website!!

The quickest and easiest way to order your repeat prescription is online, either through the NHS app or via our website, all can be done at a time that suits you from the comfort of your own home!

If you can’t access the NHS app or our website, we are still happily taking repeat prescription requests at the front desk in the Surgery.
All we ask is that you know the medication you are requesting, either bring the medication box with you or write down the exact name of the medication and dose from your prescription.
Our friendly team at the reception desk will then load your request directly onto the system

Please remember to give us 5 working days to process your repeat prescription request

We are testing some new ways of contacting us next week - mainly a new online portal. Also our reception team will take your details and then a clinical team member will triage your case and be in contact with you as appropriate.

We have taken a high number of enquiries regarding Covid Vaccinations, we are not offering these at the Avenue Surgery, if you are eligible please call the National Booking service on 119 to book your Covid Vaccination. Or see the dates and time of the walk in clinics at Warminster Civic Centre on Fridays in Oct, Nov and Dec.

We are offering Flu Vaccinations at the surgery, if you are eligible for a flu vaccine you should have received an invite. Please book online via your invite, call or pop in to the surgery to book your flu vaccine.

***Our Online Service is Changing***

Thank you to everyone who has given us feedback regarding our online “eConsult” system, we have heard your frustrations, and we are changing!

From today we are launching a new online system called “SystmConnect”, initially you will be able to request repeat medications and Fit Notes. As we all get used to the new system, we will add additional features as part of our journey and move towards a “Modern General Practice Model”. This will include an online method to contact us with new health conditions for advice, treatment and consultations.

Later in the month we are hoping to launch a new website which will be more user friendly. We will share more news later in the month…..

Useful Info when ordering repeat prescriptions...

When using the NHS App, please note that only repeat prescription items that are due to be ordered at this point will be visible. If one (or more) of your repeat medications is not visible, this is usually because it is not due for ordering yet, they should be visible again when they are due to be ordered. If a specific medication is not visible on the App, please double check your medication supplies at home, and check that there are no prescriptions awaiting collection at your usual Pharmacy before contacting the surgery.

Please be reminded that the prescriptions request functions on the NHS App and on SystmOnline are for prescription requests only, please do not use these for anything else, this also applies to the prescription requests post box in the surgery foyer. Any questions or information that you would like to discuss with your GP must be directed to the reception team or sent into the Surgery by using the E-consult function. Any additional questions or information included on any prescription requests will not be considered or actioned.
