For my birthday gift from my husband this year I got my βcoloursβ done which is something I have wanted to do for years!
I spent a very happy few hours with the lovely Helen from and learnt so much about tones, seasons, colours that make your individual features pop, make up to brighten your eyes etc.
Anyone who knows me will know that looks and fashion arenβt exactly high on my priority list but as I have got older, I do know that perimenopause has at times stripped me of my confidence, has changed my body shape and has altered the texture of my skin leaving me unsure of what suits me.
I also increasingly feel overwhelmed by all the βstuffβ including clothes that I have accumulated over the years. I tend to open my cupboard and just donβt know where to begin so just turn to the same old outfits as they feel safe!
Anyway I would have put good money on being a βspringβ or βsummerβ as they are my favourite seasons but shows how little I know as it turns out, colour wise at least, I am a True Winter!
Fun fact: only winters should wear black, bright white and all the greys in between. They are also the only colour βseasonβ that should wear black mascara, as all others should wear brown to make their eyes pop!
This photo showcases all my final WOW colours, although there are many others that I should also include that are still good, but these are the showstoppers.
So, from now on, if you happen to see me strutting my stuff down the high street or in the gym wearing electric blue clothes, with a pale yellow scarf and bright pink lipstick on, now you know why π€£π
If you are local and looking for a great experience then I highly recommend Helen π©·
Also I will be needing to borrow that Ikea boiler suit and hat as it is one of my wow colours π§’π€ͺ
