Relaxation is a skill many of us have unintentionally set aside in today’s busy society, and this can take a real toll on our wellbeing.
A friend recently reminded me of this when she spoke about building in regular mobility exercises to help prevent injury. It made me reflect on how many aspects of our health - both physical and emotional can be protected simply by practicing small, preventative habits.
When working with clients, I often witness how taking the time to rest, recover, and truly relax can prevent stress and anxiety from building up. Learning and practicing relaxation techniques isn’t just about feeling calmer in the moment it can create lasting, positive changes in overall health and quality of life.
