As many of our lovely patients will already know, I had a serious injury last year. It has taken 12-months of treatment, rehab, and physio, but I've now been given the go ahead to start running again. I have to take it very slowly so I don't hurt myself again so I'm only doing 5K. The photo is of me nearly passing out after doing a 10K for Macmillan in 2023 😂!
As EDGE Eyewear works in partnership with Hidden Hearing, Sense - the deafblind charity - made sense to raise money for.

One of our favourite couples, Alison and Caz, have been in to collect their new specs. They've both gone for ECO Eyewear frames, both with polarised sunglasses clip-ons. An amazing choice - looking great, protecting from UV, and saving the planet 👏👏👏!

Frame of the day time! This fabulous frame from eco-heroes Bird Eyewear is such an interesting tortoiseshell colour. They call it "snowy". We call it bloomin' lovely!

Christine, one of our lovely neighbours here at Warrington Market, has been in to pick up her amazing iGreen frame. Made from a cotton-based acetate, these frames are eco-friendly and incredibly light-weight. And the pink highlighted tortoiseshell front with pink sides look splendid! 💗

A very cool and quirky frame of the day from The Eyewear Café. It comes in various colours. You don't see frames as interesting as this in most opticians! We have so many quirky, colourful, and interesting frames at EDGE. You really should come and check us out 🥸!

Glaucoma Awareness Week is an annual awareness-raising opportunity where we encourage people across the UK to talk about glaucoma. Over 700,000 people in the UK have glaucoma. HALF OF THEM don’t know they have it. As eyecare professionals we want to end preventable glaucoma sight loss and that starts with raising awareness of the disease. Even if you feel like you have no problems with vision, it is still incredibly important to have regular and thorough eye examinations.

Can you spot the difference between picture one and picture two? Other than Richard's very happy smile? These amazing sunglass lenses we've made for him go from graduated (letting through 25% of light at the top and 75% at the bottom) to the whole lens being fully darkened (to only let through 3% of light) when it's very sunny. Very clever! Very cool! 😎
