Last week my horses had their annual dentist routine check up!
It is so important to work together as Equine professionals to communicate with chiropractors, Osteopaths, Equine Dentists, Instructors, Vets, Farriers and Massage therapists to ensure that horse welfare and well being is maintained.

As well as offer Equine Sports Massage Therapy sessions to your loved horses/ponies, I can also offer other services e.g. clipping.

Below we have both Mickey and Minnie after their full clip.
Full clips in summer for heavier breed horses can help:
- Regulate their temperature
- Hygiene - Easier to wash sweat off and keeps them clean
- Comfort - Helps horses sweat more efficiently and reduce discomfort in the heat

** Laminitis and the effects of massage**
- Massage therapy can provide pain relief for horses with laminitis
- Potentially helping with circulation, pain management and overall well-being

Laminitis can lead to changes in gait and movement patterns e.g. many laminitic horses shift their weight onto their hindlimbs. Thus causing muscle tension and imbalance throughout the shoulder region due to the stance maintained.
