Announcement 📣 - Man talk will wind down operations in January.

I am heartbroken to tell you all that Man talk will be reducing its services to a website only from January. This is due to the personal strain of running the group and lack of financial and physical support.

As sad as the above is, we have achieved so much over the past three years and would like to think we have saved at least one life!

We have been commended in the Houses of Parliament during Covid by the then health minister.

We have placed over 50 signs across the town in vulnerable locations as a last line of defence against su***de.

We were a finalist in the charity of the year in the Inspiration awards.

We have helped over 60 children in our Christmas appeal to wake up to a Christmas they wouldn’t have otherwise had.

We have provided funding through the Liam Walsh Foundation pot to create a sensory room for children with additional needs in a local school.

We have achieved so much but we would be nothing without the 1300 men in our group and how they have supported each other. They are hero’s to themselves and to each other.

Before bringing the curtain down on man talk we have put measures in place for the support to continue and with the help of Andys Man Club

So 6 have been sent via courier as they are out of area and 13 will be hand delivered by us today! Thank you to everyone who has contributed this year. It’s not been plane sailing but we have made it! The Christmas spirit will live on for at least one more year for these children. Together we can make a difference.

With a huge thank you to those who have donated over the past 24 hours (and my wonderful wife for organizing) we have managed to get another 5 toy hampers packed and ready for delivery Thursday. We have at least another 15 more to get together tomorrow 🎁🎅🏽

We really need your URGENT HELP🚨 We have families who need our support this year in our Christmas appeal and with the exception of a few wonderful people we haven’t had enough to support them all as much as we would like. I know that Christmas is an expensive time of year for everyone but if you can spare a few quid to help us out it could change the lives of these children 🎁

What does Christmas look like to you? These may seem like small piles of toys but for some this is all they get. They could only have this last year because of your help. Can you help again this year? Can you donate?

Please keep sharing, if you are local business or sports group could you do a raffle? Collection? Fun day? Every little helps. Last year 40 children woke up thinking they were getting nothing for Christmas and instead they had toys, teddies, crafts and educational material. Mental health and trauma starts as a child. One smile, one special day can be enough to change a child’s future. 💙

We donated to mental health charity Man Talk 💚

Man Talk based in Warrington is a network for men giving them a safe space and the tools to open up and discuss all matters surrounding mental health. Andrea Henvey our Scheduler nominated this charity as she has seen how this charity has helped those close to her.
