🌟 A big, warm welcome to Beckii 🌟

We’re so excited to introduce you to the newest member of the Hair Story family.

Beckii’s hairdressing journey started at 16, but like so many of us, life and confidence got in the way. At 30, she decided to follow her heart and return to college to complete her Level 3 proving it’s never too late to chase your dreams.

Over the last few weeks she’s been helping us out while Hannah is on maternity leave and the feedback from you has been amazing. You’re already loving her caring nature, her skills and not forgetting those gorgeous blow dries!

Like everyone at Hair Story, she hasn’t just landed here by chance. I’ve always chosen my team intentionally, whether they have their own connection to hair loss, are part of my personal journey or brought to me by the universe, each person is here for a reason and Beckii’s story fits beautifully into ours. She is Ste’s niece so when we met and realised we had hairdressing in common it just felt right to give Beckii a space to shine.

Detangling your hair doesn’t have to be a hassle! Here are some easy tips to keep your locks tangle free and gorgeous 💁🏼‍♀️

🔹 Start Gently: Begin by using your fingers or a wide toothed comb to gently work through any knots, starting from the ends and working your way up.

🔹 Use a Detangling Spray: Spritz a detangling spray or apply a leave-in conditioner to make the process smoother and protect your hair from breakage.

🔹 Work in Sections: Divide your hair into manageable sections to ensure thorough detangling without causing stress or damage to your strands.

🔹 Patience is Key: Take your time! Rushing through detangling can lead to hair breakage and split ends. Approach it with patience and care.

🔹 Detangle When Wet: Hair is more elastic when wet. Use a wide-toothed comb or a brush specifically designed for wet hair to detangle after showering.

Let’s talk about something super important today - our hair wash routine!

Did you know that most of us have been washing our hair wrong this whole time?

We should be shampooing our scalp not our hair! Why? Because that’s where all the dirt, oil, and buildup accumulates.

So next time you’re in the shower, give your scalp some extra love and attention.

However, as much as we must focus on our scalp, it’s equally important to pay attention to our hair.

Conditioner works wonders for your hair, so next time you’re pampering your locks, remember to apply conditioner from mid-length to the ends not on your scalp as this can create build up and can result in oily hair, unless you are using a prescriptive product which is designed to be applied to the scalp.
