Itโ€™s a great opportunity to meet some of our team, have a chat, and connect with others in a warm, informal setting.
Whether you just fancy a cup of coffee and good conversation, youโ€™re very welcome to join us. You can either stay for the full two hours or pop in for 10 minutes, whatever suits you.

Asthma is a respiratory condition marked by spasms in the bronchi of the lungs, causing difficulty in breathing. It usually results from an allergic reaction or other form of hypersensitivity.
A chronic lung disease, the airways narrow and start to swell (inflammation) causing difficulty in breathing. Symptoms can include coughing, wheezing, and shortness of breath.
Asthma cannot be cured but it can be controlled. ๐Ÿ’™
Patients with asthma can have their symptoms controlled with medication. In some patients, the symptoms change over time โ€“ it is important that your signs and symptoms are monitored closely, so that your doctor or Nurse can adjust the dosage of your medication if necessary.

Holes Lane Medical Centre will close on Friday 1st May and not re-open until Tuesday 5th May.
You can order your repeat medications via System Online, the NHS App or by dropping your repeat prescription slip into the surgery. ๐Ÿ’Š
๐Ÿ“ฃ*Please be reminded that as of 1st April, we no longer accept prescription requests via email or patchs.
This change has been communicated in our automated email responses, and multiple reminders have been sent over recent months. Any prescription requests sent by email will not be actioned.๐Ÿ“ฃ

The council and local partners are encouraging residents to get their blood pressure checked for free this April by attending one of several ๐—™๐—ฅ๐—˜๐—˜ Blood Pressure Dropโ€‘In sessions taking place across the borough. โค๏ธ
These dropโ€‘in events aim to reach residents who may have undiagnosed high blood pressure, so they can access the support and treatment needed to bring it under control. That might mean making healthy lifestyle changes such as eating a balanced diet, reducing salt intake, being more physically active, or starting medication where appropriate.
If you canโ€™t make any of the sessions blood pressure checks are also available at most pharmacies and through your local GP surgery as part of an NHS Health Check, which is offered to adults aged 40 to 74.
Residents can also buy lowโ€‘cost blood pressure monitors, starting from around ยฃ20, from pharmacies or online, making it easy to check blood pressure at home or while out and about.โค๏ธ
