He is best known for his invention of the vacuum flask, which he used in conjunction with research into the liquefaction of gases. It’s British Science Festival 2021! This event is Europe’s longest standing science Festival, travelling to a different place in the United Kingdom each year. The Festival aims to connect people with scientists, engineers, technologists and social scientists. Congratulations to Andrew Mooney and playing partner Darren Budd (BASF) for winning the Shack Jubilee Cup at the Chemical Trade Golf Day on Friday 3rd Sept at Royal Liverpool Golf Club. This friendly competition has been played every year since 1954. A very enjoyable day, won with the last putt, last hole!
