We’re delighted to share this wonderful update from Longridge Hall Care Home, where residents enjoyed a sunny (if slightly breezy!) trip to the seaside, visiting both Blackpool and Lytham St Anne’s.

There’s nothing quite like fresh sea air, beautiful coastal views, and great company to lift spirits and create special memories. Days like these are what it’s all about 💙

From community spirit and treasured customs to laughter, kindness, and of course a good cup of tea, it was lovely to hear their stories and reflections. 🇬🇧✨

Days like today are a wonderful chance to celebrate heritage, connection, and the experiences that make each generation so special.

A huge thank you to Linda & the ladies from Newtown Evangelical Church for their wonderful kindness and generosity. 💛

We were so pleased to see the lovely blankets and adorable teddy bears donated to residents at The Oaks Nursing Home. The colourful blankets have already brightened rooms and brought comfort, while the soft teddy bears have brought so many smiles.

It was especially touching to hear residents sharing memories of crocheting blankets themselves, making this gesture even more meaningful.

With over 30 years of experience in health and social care, Phil brings a wealth of knowledge and a proven track record of delivering high-quality, person-centred care. He will be working closely with our teams across all our homes to further strengthen our service quality and support our continued growth.

There’s something truly special about sharing a meal in your own private space, surrounded by family and friends 💛

One of our care homes, Manor Park Care Home, recently hosted a lovely family afternoon in their Tearoom — filled with laughter, celebration, and of course… incredible treats! 🎉

A big thank you to their talented chef Danny for creating such beautiful cakes 🎂 and delicious shortbread — they went down an absolute treat!

Well done team!!

There is nothing nicer than having your own private dining space to enjoy celebratory meals with family and friends. We are fortunate to have a wonderful chef Danny making beautiful cakes 🎂 and scrumptious shortbread. This family had a lovely afternoon in the Tearoom.

What a fantastic Grand National weekend at Birkdale Tower Care Home! 🏇✨

The weekend was thoughtfully planned, beginning with a trip to the bookies and a traditional fish and chips outing, creating a sense of occasion from the outset.

Ladies Day was a highlight, with residents enjoying the opportunity to dress up, don their hats, and come together for an afternoon of fizz and refreshments while watching the races. 🎩👗🌸

Excitement continued into Saturday’s big race, with a special visit from a former jockey and their horse, providing a unique and memorable experience for all involved. 🐎

A huge well done to the team at Birkdale Tower for delivering such an engaging and enjoyable weekend for residents. Events like these truly reflect the dedication and creativity of our teams across Sandstone Care Group.
