🐾 Special Visitor at The Oaks Nursing Home! 🐾

Yesterday, The Oaks Nursing Home welcomed a very special guest — Thistle, a retired guide dog. Thistle will be making another appearance at the upcoming Summer Social on 15th August, where she’ll be representing Guide Dogs UK.

Sandstone Care Group is proud to announce that Guide Dogs UK has been chosen as their Charity of the Year. We are delighted to support such an incredible cause and look forward to raising awareness and funds throughout the year.

🌞 A Day to Remember at Telford Hall Nursing Home's Summer Fete! 🌞

The weather may have been grey, but nothing could dampen the incredible spirit of our Summer Fete this weekend! From start to finish, the day was packed with joy, laughter, and unforgettable moments.

A huge shoutout to the incredible Paul Watkins, whose live performance kept the energy high and the crowd dancing. 🎤 And who could forget the awe and wonder sparked by Jelly Exotics? Their amazing array of exotic creatures fascinated kids and adults alike — we saw courage, curiosity, and lots of wide eyes! 🐍🦎

From colorful stalls and classic games to delicious treats, raffles, and joyful smiles, every corner of the fete was bursting with fun and community spirit. 💛

We are so grateful to everyone who came out, volunteered, donated, or simply shared a smile. Events like this remind us how lucky we are to be part of such a warm and vibrant community.

🎲 Games, Giggles & Grace at Ribble Court ✝️

It was a fun-filled morning at Ribble Court Nursing Home, with residents taking part in friendly dominoes tournaments across the home. There was no shortage of smiles, laughter, and a bit of healthy competition! 😊🏆

Later in the day, everyone came together for a peaceful church service, creating a calm and reflective space for residents to enjoy some quiet time and spiritual connection. ⛪

A lovely morning for a bit of gardening at Ribble Court Nursing Home! ☀️🌿

Residents took advantage of the bright morning with a little courtyard tidy-up, complete with coffee and good conversation. While tending to the flowers, they uncovered an unexpected guest — a strawberry plant hiding among the blooms! 🍓🌼

We love seeing these everyday moments that make life at Ribble Court so special.

Sandstone Care Group has acquired Dalton Court Care Home in Cockermouth, marking a significant milestone as the company’s first care service in Cumbria.

Formerly owned by the Priory Group, Dalton Court becomes the 11th home in the growing Sandstone Care portfolio and further strengthens the Group’s commitment to providing high-quality, person-centred care across the North West and beyond.

Nestled on the edge of the Lake District National Park, Dalton Court is a 60-bed home offering specialist nursing, dementia, palliative, and end-of-life care, as well as flexible respite support. With 24-hour assistance from registered nurses and a dedicated care team, the home is known for its warm, welcoming environment and focus on independence and wellbeing.
