We know the school holidays can be a challenging time for families facing increased costs of food, household bills and childcare. St Joseph's will be providing food parcels to lots of families who need a little extra help in time for the Easter holidays.

Last year, we had the privilege of showing Warrington Golf Club’s Lady Captain, Edwina Greenwood, around St Joseph’s and telling her about the work we do in the community. We were honoured to be chosen as her ‘Charity of the Year’ for 2025 🎉

Edwina’s year has been full of incredible fundraising ideas and initiatives, a huge amount of hard work, detailed planning and events management (plus plenty of fun and laughs along the way!) It was an absolute privilege to be invited back to the Golf Club last week to collect a donation of ✨£13,080✨ raised for St Joseph’s Family Centre.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone at Warrington Golf Club who has helped raise funds, to Captain Andrew Mackenzie for your incredible support and to the remarkable Lady Captain, Edwina Greenwood, for championing our cause and encouraging so much involvement with your fundraising events throughout the year.

Brew Monday, also known as Blue Monday, is an annual initiative in the United Kingdom that encourages people to connect with others over a cup of tea or coffee. It aims to combat loneliness and provide emotional support, especially during the winter months when feelings of isolation can be more pronounced.

Brew Monday 2026 is a day dedicated to promoting social connections and mental well-being.

The role is 32 hours per week but could suit applicants seeking flexibility, including job share.

Our Christmas appeal has been the most successful one to date, providing hampers, Christmas treats, vouchers and emergency provisions to hundreds of people and helping them realise they don't need to face difficult times alone.

This year, Thompson-Cliffe Civil Celebrancy is pleased announce we will be supporting four amazing local charities that make a real difference in our community.

Thanks to the incredible team at Warrington Primark, we've received £500 of children's clothing to support our families through the colder months ❤

Across the communities in which it operates, Primark has donated gift packs totalling £250,000 to local charities which includes a great range of winter coats, gloves, hats, scarves and cosy pyjamas to St Joseph's. Just in time for the snowy weather! ❄ ☃ ❄

We had the pleasure of visiting ❄️ Warrington Open Door at Christmas - WODAC ❄️this morning to drop off some Christmas food and treats and to see their final preparations before Christmas Day 🎄 They're an incredible volunteer-led charity providing hot meals, food parcels, warm clothing, toiletries, friendship and activities to people who are lonely or isolated over the festive period.

They understand this can be a difficult time of the year for many, so please reach out if you need support. They're based at St John's Church Hall on Wilderspool Causeway and will be open daily from 25th December to 1st January, 9.30am - 3.30pm

🎄ELF DAY at Procurement for Housing and Inprova! 🎄

The amazing teams from PfH and Inprova joined us again this year to help deliver Christmas hampers and treats to local schools.
They said, "Elf Day is about people pulling together, giving a bit of time, sharing some smiles, and doing something that genuinely helps others."

Thank you to everyone involved, you certainly brightened the day and have helped support lots of families throughout the town 💗

Feeling so grateful for all the volunteer support we've received this year 😊
Thanks to a monumental effort from the teams at 🎄Britplas and Trinity P&M 🎄we have managed to get food hampers, Christmas treat bags and supermarket vouchers out to over 340 families this year.
A heartfelt thank you for your compassion, dedication and unwavering commitment to children and families in our community.
