A heartfelt thank you goes out to the team at Walton Lea Crematorium for their incredible generosity in donating £10,000 to St Joseph's Family Centre. This substantial contribution is not only a testament to their community spirit but also pivotal support in our ongoing mission to assist individuals and families in need.

Earlier this month, we had the privilege of visiting Walton Lea Crematorium and spending time with their dedicated team. The experience was truly enlightening. We were thoroughly impressed by their professionalism and the empathetic approach they bring to their roles, which undoubtedly can be quite challenging at times.

The donation was made possible by their metals recycling scheme and will significantly bolster our efforts at St Joseph's, enabling us to enhance our programmes and services. We are immensely grateful for the donation and the positive impact it will have on the lives of those we support.

Your votes in the Community Giving Scheme 2025 have placed St Joseph's Family Centre in 🥇first place🥇 which means we will receive £1,000 to support our Emergency Welfare provision. The programme ensures local families have access to food, toiletries, clothing and essential household items when they need a little extra support.

Skipton's Charitable Foundation helps so many good causes and this year's community scheme will see charities receiving donations totalling £164,000! 👏

If you're out and about tomorrow, be sure to pop in to Warrington Market and Golden Square Warrington between 10am - 3pm for a chance to watch Community in Mind, a film showcasing and celebrating some of the amazing community-focused mental health support groups taking place in Warrington.

You'll also have an opportunity to meet and chat with some of the groups featured in the film. The film will be screened on the hour from 10am with the last one at 2pm.

This year, with your help, we want to deliver hundreds of Christmas hampers to local families needing a little extra support. Every hamper contains staple food, festive goodies and vouchers to purchase Christmas gifts and household essentials.
