For the women having mental breakdowns about their eggs this is for you ⤵️

A new study just revealed something wild — your egg cells may be far more protected than the rest of your body.

Researchers found 17–24× fewer mutations in egg cell mitochondria compared to other cells.

It suggests your body knows how to conserve fertility — something Chinese medicine has always understood.

✨ TCM tip: To support Jing (your reproductive essence), nourish with warm, cooked foods like soups, bone broth, and black sesame. These build blood, anchor Qi, and protect your reserves.

Of course, aging still plays a role — but it’s not the only story.

🧬 Your fertility is shaped by energy, blood flow, nourishment, and rhythm.

You have more power than you’ve been told.

If you’re ready for science-backed, soul-supportive guidance — you don’t have to figure this out alone.

💬 Comment “COMMUNITY” and I’ll send you the link so you can start supporting egg quality right now 💛

No, it wasn’t “just hormones.”
What I would do instead ⤵️

If your period feels painful, clotty, or just off - and every lab test comes back “normal” - it’s time to look through a different lens 🕵️‍♀️

In Chinese Medicine, this isn’t just random dysfunction. It’s called Blood Stagnation - and it means your blood isn’t flowing smoothly, especially through the womb.

💥 What that looks like?

😩Clots and cramping
❄️Cold hands and feet
🩸Spotting, painful ovulation, emotional stuckness

And it maps directly onto Western diagnoses like endometriosis, fibroids, cysts, and painful periods.

👉 When blood is stuck, nothing moves well - not hormones, not your lining, not your mood.

But when it flows again? That’s when fertility, energy, and regularity return.

You don’t need a 20 step plan to shift stagnation.
You need food that moves blood, warms digestion, and tells your body:

It’s safe to flow again.

✨ Comment “STAGNATION MEAL PLAN” and I’ll send you my free guide to reduce clots, ease pain + support your cycle, naturally from a Chinese medicine perspective ❤️

Here’s the thing: a long follicular phase isn’t just “late ovulation.” ❌

It’s one of the most common (and most *ignored*) patterns I see in clinic - and it can quietly delay conception without obvious symptoms 👀

If you’re ovulating after CD20 (or not at all), your body’s likely saying: “I’m not quite ready yet.”

Because it’s more than just timing.

It often points to:
✨ Light periods
✨ Thin lining or patchy temps
✨ Fatigue, dizziness, or brittle nails
✨ Trouble tracking fertile signs

What might it look like?
⏳ Ovulating after CD20 or not at all)
💤 Feeling sluggish or cold in the first half of your cycle
💔 Thin uterine lining or weak cervical mucus
😵‍💫 BBT temps that barely rise
🩸 Light periods or spotting
🤯 Confusing fertile signs + missed timing

In Chinese medicine, this can reflect Qi not flowing, Blood not building, or the womb needing north warmth.

In functional medicine, we might be looking at low oestrogen, thyroid imbalances, blood sugar issues, or post-pill recovery.

➡️ A simple first step?
10–15 minutes of morning sunlight before anything else. It helps regulate your circadian rhythm, supports hormone signalling, and encourages ovulation naturally.

But that’s just the beginning.

Inside my COMMUNITY, I walk you through the full picture , your temps, bloodwork, and symptoms - so you can understand your cycle and support ovulation with confidence.

💛 You’re not supposed to have all the answers alone - that’s what support is for.

“Wait… yoghurt are bad for fertility?” 👀

You wouldn’t know — because no one teaches us this! ❌

In Western nutrition, food is measured by what’s in it — carbs, protein, vitamins, calories 🍎

But as a practitioner trained in Chinese medicine, I’m more interested in how that food behaves once it’s inside your body 🤔

🌿 Is it warming or cooling?
💧 Does it create damp or dryness?
🔥 Does it build or drain energy?

That’s why two “healthy” meals — like a green smoothie vs chicken stew — can have totally different effects on your hormones.

If you’re TTC or struggling with fatigue, bloating, light periods or delayed ovulation — here’s a gentler place to start:

🍲 Choose warm, cooked meals (think soups + stews)
🩸 Add foods that build Blood + Qi, like dates, beef, or bone broth

That’s just one piece of how I support fertility through food. Inside my community, I’ll help you match meals to your body’s pattern — with zero restriction or overwhelm.

✨ Comment COMMUNITY if you’re ready to eat the TCM way — warm, supported and hormone-happy 💛

No one is ever told this ⤵️

One of my favourite parts of clinic?

When a patient walks in with the latest health craze they’ve found on Instagram.

Cold plunges, celery juice, mushroom coffee, I’ve heard them all.

It’s how I stay up to date 😆 And honestly… I love seeing the spark in their eyes when they share something new.

But here’s the thing I’ve learned after years in Chinese medicine:

Your body doesn’t need to keep up with every trend to thrive.

In fact, the constant chasing, shocking, and “biohacking” can quietly drain your reserves 🪫

When you’re trying to conceive (or even just recover from stress), the most powerful medicine is often the simplest:

✨ Warmth
✨ Rest
✨ Steady, nourishing habits that tell your body “you are safe.”

Because rythem and safety is what lets your hormones flow, your womb open, and your energy rise.

So while cold plunges might look refreshing on TikTok, your womb might be saying:

“Please… just keep me warm.” 💛

A bit of a different one from me this evening talking about the moon! 🌚 But it is quite symbolic in Chinese medicine when it comes women's health and a regular cycle!

An impaired circadian rhythm can hugely impact our menstrual cycle and therefore our homrones and fertility! 👶

I'd love to know how in sync you are with nature and if you ar guilty of being on your phone in the evening exposing yourself to blue light and messing with the natural rythem from day to night ☀️ 🌚

Comment below and let me know if you have your period on the new moon or the full moon 🩸or if you're not sure, let me know too so I can help! ✨

Happy Wednesday!

Fertility tips! 👶🏼 to get you ahead in 2023!

Trying for a baby can get very overwhelming! Therefore sometimes going back to the basics is needed to assess what could be going on 🕵️‍♀️

(Don't be fooled, these are very important steps to take!

Tracking Temps 🌡️
Tracking temperatures isn't just about ovulation, it reveals vital hormone balance insights. Timing of ovulation indicates Oestrogen-Progesterone balancr. For instance, a long follicular phase but short luteal phase could point to hormonal processing issues affecting ovulation quality and progesterone levels. Timely ovulation is key for balanced cycles and hormones. BBT can also help detect thyroid issues, endometriosis, and inflammation concerns.

BLOODWORK 🩸
Routine GP tests have broad result ranges. Something impacting fertility might seem normal due to these wide parameters. I aim for a narrower, optimal range within the conventional limits. Note that GP offered tests like FBC (full blood count) Day 3, and Day 21 aren't exhaustive. For recommended blood tests, comment "bloods 🩸" and I'll help you.

SAVE ENERGY 🔋
Daily, draining tasks impact energy levels significantly. Even seemingly small actions hold big consequences.

While choice is limited at times, it's crucial not to waste precious energy on unappreciative people or late nights. Prioritize conserving your energy!

Are you trying to improve your egg quality? 🥚🥚🥚 If so leave me a comment saying 'EGG' below and I will send you my very nifty improving egg quality protocol 🥚👀❤️

I've been away on a spa break with my trusty gorgeous sidekick and it's got me thinking about our eggs and the things we need to do to support it! ✨

I have no fancy canva design for this post so I'm just rolling with a picture of our lovely break away In Wales ☺️

Your eggs were on standby in your ovaries since you were a 14-weeks old in the womb. But the magic? They stay safe and sound in a dormant state so no damage can occur until....

Fast forward to your cycle starting and one egg taking centre stage. Nutrition, sleep, antioxidants – they're all VIPs, impacting the eggs development.

But hold it there, your choices play lead role! Will you fuel your eggs for optimal fertiliry or leave them hanging? The choice is yours.

If you'd like to know, comment below egg and I'll send you all you need to know! ❤️

Have a good rest of your week!
