Caught early, an ingrown toenail doesn’t always need surgery. Sometimes, all it takes is a gentle trim, some careful clearing, and a bit of advice to keep it comfortable at home.

If you’ve ever been to my clinic, you’ll know my whiteboard is covered in doodles of toes and nails! I use it to explain exactly what’s going on under there (and yes, I promise the drawings are better than you’d expect!). It helps you actually see why your toe’s sore and what I can do to fix it.

Skin problems are my speciality.

Dry, cracked heels. Peeling skin. Itchy patches that come and go. You’ve tried creams, oils, maybe even a bit of wishful thinking, but they keep coming back, don’t they?

Potty Purple Pod is becoming a Pensioner! 👣💜

Yes, it’s true, the Potty Purple Pod clinic will be closing on 31st July 2026 as I retire.

By then, I’ll have clocked up 50 years of working life (35 of those as a podiatrist, 38 if you count my training years!). That’s a LOT of feet, a LOT of verrucas, a LOT of purple… and more than a few laughs along the way.

I’m not done yet though, I’ll still be seeing patients right up to my final day, although I’ll be tapering down clinic time from this autumn.

So if you’ve been putting off dealing with your feet, now’s the time ⏰. Once the diary is full, that’s it.

PPP might be retiring, but the purple spirit lives on!💜
