Food testing has been our sector for over 30 years. Calibre started as a Calibration and service company representing a number of global leaders in food testing equipment. Our specialisms started in Cereals & Milling where the importance of identifying the quality and performance of Wheat and its subsequent use were key to the purchasers of the grain and its processed form. Mainly test equipment for the laboratory at an Ingredient Manufacturer, Flour Mill, Grain Trader or large farm store were our daily responsibility. Over the years our expertise has broadened into Baking, Dairy, Feed and many other sub sectors of the Food Chain. We are also international in our activities, attending and sitting on global technical committees, conferences and selling our own technology C-Cell (Bakery image produced above) into over 25 countries around the globe.
The safety and quality of our food is something we all take for granted however our customers work extremely hard daily to produce large volumes of food to a specification which is commonly tested with our equipment. It could be a unwanted residue in Milk, a shape or colour requirement for a Bakery product, or simply a Moisture measurement in an Oat ready to be processed into a Breakfast Cereal.
