Stupid analogy time...
When Brenda at Slimming World dropped 5 lb last week and never even considered the Gym but you're only dropping half a lb week despite training hard and eating well. Annoying right??
So let's get into that...
Let's use Mr Squirrel collecting his half lb nuts, one each week...
A few weeks in and he's got a few lbs of nuts.
Some weeks it's easy and he collects 2, sometimes 1, sometimes he's just out searching for them but not collecting any, still doing the work though!
But as the weeks go on, the pile gets bigger, lb by lb which slowly become stones...
But as it's happening something else happens too!
Clothes fit better, then become too big...
Energy levels improve... Strength improves and you find yourself signing up for fitness challenges...
Your mates start to notice... Your partner starts slapping your bum when you walk past and you find yourself looking at fitness content on Insta!
Please, please, please put aside your aspirations of unsustainable and rapid weight loss.
Commit yourself to chasing half a lb a week with easy nutrition changes and a decent workout schedule. It really does add up!
