Today, Friday 1st May at 18:23pm, the Moon turns fully illuminated at 11° Scorpio... meeting Beltaine at the threshold of fire and transformation.

This is a powerful crossing point... the ancient Gaelic fire festival of Beltaine alongside a Full Moon in Scorpio. One calls in light, fertility, protection and growth... the other asks for truth, release, transformation and emotional honesty. Together this is not passive energy... it is activation.

Beltaine marks the turning into the fertile half of the year. Traditionally, fires were lit in honour of Bel, the Bright One, to bless cattle, land, crops and people. Fire was used for purification, protection and calling abundance forward. People and livestock would pass between twin flames for blessing, while offerings were left for the Aos Sí and Hawthorn adorned thresholds as both protection and respect for the unseen.

This is a time to ask... what in your life is ready to grow? What deserves your energy, devotion and action?

And then.......Scorpio.

This Full Moon at 11° carries added weight. 11 is often seen as a gateway number... illumination, heightened awareness and truth rising to the surface. In Scorpio, this can bring hidden emotions, power patterns, old wounds or buried truths into sharp focus. What has been avoided may feel louder today... not to punish you... but to transform you.

Scorpio, ruled by Pluto, deals in truth, power, death, rebirth and deep transformation. It governs the spaces where we cling, suppress, avoid or fear. Where Beltaine’s fire ignites... Scorpio’s water reveals.

So today is both blessing and burning.

It is a potent time to look honestly at where you feel stuck... old grief, silence, fear, resentment, outdated patterns... and consciously release them so they do not follow you into your next season of growth.

Light a candle, small fire, or even stand before the setting sun. Fire is your act of calling in.

Write clearly what you are building... not what you fear.
What do you want more of?
Passion? Courage? Fertility? Creativity? Prosperity? Truth?

Speak it aloud. Scorpio reminds us the throat is a gateway... words matter.

Read your desires clearly to the flame and say:
“I feed this fire with clear intention. May what is true grow strong.”

Burn your written words of desire and let the smoke carry them... or keep them beneath a candle overnight as a charged commitment to yourself.

You are not begging the fire... you are activating yourself through it.

Water is your act of release.

Write down what is heavy... grief, anger, silence, fear, old attachments, self betrayal, stagnation.

Be honest AND...be blunt!!!

Place your words into water... a bowl, river, sea, bath... and watch the ink blur, dissolve or soften.

As it shifts, say something like this.....
“I release the chains that stifle my growth. I no longer carry this weight forward.”

Scorpio teaches that release is not denial... it is transmutation.

If working with herbs, Mugwort, Rose, Hawthorn or Lemon Balm can be added to your water as allies of clarity, heart healing and emotional movement.

🔥 Fire asks... What will you grow?
🌊 Water asks... What must you release?

Fire to activate.
Water to release.

Together they create movement.

Scorpio also reminds us that words hold power. Speak carefully today... every word either reinforces your future or your stagnation.

SNAKE TO HORSE

Sun energy update and the cosmic feels over the next few days and weeks

Right now a big new sunspot called region 4366 has suddenly grown into a very complex and magnetically tangled storm center on the Sun. In scientific terms its called a Beta-Gamma-Delta configuration, and it means the magnetic energy is twisted and stressed enough to violently release energy in bursts (its already kicked off a series of strong solar flares including X-class level explosion).

A big solar release like this is like a clearing moment… like the Sun pulses and clears out older stuck energies before something new can wash in.
A burst or purge like this can be followed by a fresh energetic doorway opening, and can feel like an internal clearing… maybe some intense emotions and an urge to shift something deep.....a sense of pressure building and then releasing.

This month started under a Full Imbolc Moon in Leo that called attention to new beginnings surrounding personal expression, power, self identity and heart centered clarity. Whikst this energy is still settling in, on the 3rd.... Uranus in Ta**us turns direct.
This is associated with sudden shifts in values, stability, and our sense of security. It’s the energy of breaking out of old patterns and rebuilding in a more aligned way.

And then Feb 17 a solar eclipse with Saturn and Neptune merging later in the month.....this is like transition before intensity.

There’s also a slow planetary alignment building through February like a cosmic chorus where six planets....Mercury, Venus, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune, all show up in a long arc in the evening sky and this shoukd support integration rather than disrupt it.

And then....there’s another powerful shift happening alongside all of this…the year of the snake closes on Feb 16th making way for the year of the horse on Feb 17th...Lunar New Year.

The Snake year has been about shedding skins, deep internal change, hidden truths surfacing, and slow, sometimes uncomfortable transformation. Some of this shedding may have been quiet with only now you realising what has been shifting.
The Horse brings a very different energy of movement, momentum, courage, freedom, and forward motion.
The Snake coils, waits, shifts and sheds.... the Horse runs!!!
It will be about moving into an energy of choosing direction, taking risks, and trusting your instincts enough to move after all the transformations (subtle or dramatic) that you have gone through.

So this solar and upcoming cosmic activity.....that sense of pressure and release is part of the clearing before the flow into a much wider transition, preparing the ground for a faster, bolder chapter.

Over this month you might feel old patterns loosening, shedding or being shaken up, deeper clarity or emotional release, and a subtle sense of pressure giving way to new direction.

The world is a stage and you get the opportunity to decide which script and part you play.
