It’s the first of the month which means some fresh events are happening at Belong Warrington! Some key dates for your diary;

🍬 Mrs Mac’s sweet shop will be joining us in the Bistro from 1pm on Tuesday 10th February. Come and treat yourself to some nostalgic favourites!

💋 Our Valentines Day Tea Dance will be held from 4pm - 6pm on Thursday 12th February. Tickets are £10pp for all non-residents

🥞 Join us for pancakes from 8am on Tuesday 17th February in our bistro. Prices apply

👗 Back by popular demand, we welcome Gemma from Style Edit Boutique from 12pm selling some beautiful clothing pieces and accessories

🎶 We have the Mersey Wave Choir joining us on Monday 23rd February from 2pm in our Venue

✨ Making Connections Dementia Event – Warrington ✨

Today, Nic from Belong at Home and Louise from Experience Days had a lovely afternoon hosting a stall at the Making Connections Dementia event at The Gateway, Warrington 💙

It was a brilliant event filled with music, meaningful conversations, and the chance to network with so many amazing organisations. We loved celebrating and promoting the fantastic services available across Warrington to support people living with dementia and their families too 🥹

We’re so proud to be part of a community that truly cares and works together to make a difference 💫
Thank you to everyone who stopped by to chat and share their experiences, days like this really remind us why we do what we do 💙

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Burns Night at Belong 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

It’s always a pleasure to welcome Malcolm from the CCC Pipe Band for our annual Burns Night celebrations. The sound of the pipes set the tone perfectly as we came together to celebrate all things Scottish 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Guests enjoyed a true Burns Night feast, with traditional haggis, a splash of Irn-Bru, Tunnock’s tea cakes and a little whisky to round things off 🥃✨

A wonderful afternoon filled with music, tradition and great company, we already can’t wait to do it all again next year! 🥳

Yesterday, Louise, our Experience Day Coordinator, attended the annual NAPA (National Activities Providers Association) Conference in Liverpool ✨

With this year’s theme being The Year of Culture, there really was no better place to host it than such a vibrant and creative city!

The day was full of inspiration, with fantastic guest speakers and stalls throughout. One real highlight was hearing from a care home provider in Japan, who shared insights into care homes there and the importance of culture in everyday care. There was also plenty of joy, music and movement, including traditional Indian dancing from Balbir Singh and beautiful singing from Spilt Milk 🎶💃

It was a fun, uplifting and engaging day, and Louise has come back full of ideas and inspiration that she’s excited to explore and bring into our village 🌈

It’s always a fun day when Mark Whitby joins us for a lively sing-along 🥳🎤

Mark brought music, laughter, and plenty of smiles into the village as residents and experience day guests came together to enjoy a fantastic afternoon. With glasses and hats at the ready, everyone got involved. Singing along, laughing, and truly soaking up the joy of the moment 😊

A fun, engaging event that lifted spirits and brought everyone together through the power of music 🎶✨

"My mother in law sadly passed away December 2025 after being in Belong Warrington for nearly 2 years I was very happy when we got a place for her. She had been under the Care at Home team - getting daily visits ie taking her for walks in the hallways - singing with her- showing her, her photos - supervising her making a drink - playing dominoes etc. The staff and Nicky their Manager were excellent with her. She looked forward to their visits. It seemed the natural thing to do when she needed more help to go into residential care with Belong at Warrington. When visiting her we take her into the Bistro for lunch where we still saw the staff from Care at Home team. The staff on Forshaws made her very welcome, we were very happy with the care she received. She settled in and enjoyed being with the lovely group of ladies in there. She went to the hairdressing salon every 2 weeks to have her hair done. The staff have been a huge support to us at this sad time Thank you for everything."
