Rocco's provides specialist care for people in the Warrington area with life limiting illnesses and their families. Our aim is to help everyone have the best quality of life by providing care and support in a friendly, relaxed environment. Our care is free at the point of access but it currently costs over £3.6 million a year to run St. Rocco's with only 22% of that amount coming from central sources. We are reliant on the generosity of the local community to help us to continue to care for our patients and their families. Here's what people say about us:

" The staff are lovely, very caring. They are fun too just like friends, showing empathy and understanding......" "All of my visitors commented on the wonderful atmosphere at St. Rocco's. I explained the secret, it's the staff , they are all wonderful....they make a real difference to people's lives and not many people can say that"

"You gave us strength when we felt weak, you gave us love when we felt down and you gave us comfort to make us feel that we could cope…."

Meet Sara Carrington, Senior Nurse, Night Staff 💚

After qualifying as a nurse in 2011, Sara began her career at Trafford General Hospital before moving into community work. A personal experience during her training inspired a passion for end-of-life care, leading her to St. Rocco’s, six years ago.

Now working as a Senior Night Nurse, Sara leads the night team, oversees the ward, and ensures patients receive safe, compassionate, and dignified care during quieter hours.

Sara values the time spent with patients, getting to know them personally and supporting them in a meaningful way.
