Hot Buddha’s Winter Solstice Celebration
Honouring the Longest Night — Awakening the Inner Light with Yoga & Sound
Sunday 21st December, 12:30 – 3:03pm
Hosted by
The Winter Solstice is a moment to pause. On the longest night of the year, we feel the darkness and yearn for the light. Throughout the year, at Hot Buddha, we have honoured each turn of the wheel, together, listening to our bodies, yielding to each season with suitable yoga practices, and revitalising ourselves with rest and renewal through sound. This is the perfect time of year to reflect, release, and bring light to the mind and body.
In this practice Dione will guide a deeply restorative Yin and Somatic Yoga practice — a gentle unfolding of movement and breath that softens the edges of the season. In the midst of the festive season’s busyness, this practice offers a rare opportunity to pause, slow down, and reconnect with yourself. The practice will flow into a deeply soothing Sound Bath — a weaving of tone and vibration that harmonises and restores from within, carrying us into deep rest and luminous calm.
We will then close our celebration by rounding off our yoga year together — sharing festive drinks, seasonal treats, and good cheer as we honour our community and the light we’ve cultivated, both within and around us.
This is a space of no judgment, where all are seen and cherished.
As the session ends, we will step outside precisely as the Winter Solstice arrives at 3:03 PM, walking together into the turning of light, into the promise of beginnings, and into the quiet radiance of becoming.
Join us and make the gift of presence your Christmas present to yourself 🎄
