Melissa, Director of Home Instead Warrington and Lymm was delighted to attend a recent Alzheimer’s Society volunteer celebratory event in Tarporley.

As a Dementia Friends Ambassador, Melissa really enjoyed the opportunity to meet up with other Dementia Friends ambassadors to share experiences and ways of making the most of this wonderful awareness raising initiative.

Melissa has been delivering Dementia Friends sessions since 2013 and has found the recent changes made by the Society very refreshing and beneficial. If anyone would like a Dementia Friends session please do get in touch and Melissa would be happy to help.

We are hosting an Easter raffle to raise funds for our Companionship Cafe and Home Instead charity. Both the cafe and the charity focus on tackling isolation in our local community.

The cafe is run by volunteers and has become a regular safe space, with fun and laughter for many local residents.

Tickets are £2 each.

We are based at Orford Jubilee Hub, call in for a ticket.

Melissa had the pleasure of meeting with the team at Specsavers domiciliary this morning for a meaningful session on dementia.

It was great to have open conversations, share knowledge, and raise awareness around how dementia affects individuals. Thank you to the Specsavers team for being so engaged and committed to learning more about how we can all make a difference.
