Wheels for All

Wheels for All At Wheels for All we want to make sure that cycling is accessible to all.

30/10/2025

You may have seen that we were recently in Wolverhampton delivering a Wheels for All taster session and training day for those keen to learn more about inclusive cycling and the work we do! ๐Ÿšฒ

Our brilliant Inclusive Cycling Coordinator, Ola, took the opportunity to chat with the team from Active Black Country and as youโ€™ll see in their video, it was an insightful conversation covering what inclusive cycling is all about, the wide range of cycles in our fleets, and the many benefits of getting on a cycle! ๐Ÿ‘

A huge thank you to Ola and to the team at Active Black Country for shining a light on the world of inclusive cycling and helping us share our message even further! ๐Ÿฅณ

We are thrilled to welcome UEA SportsPark in Norwich to the Wheels for All network! ๐ŸŽ‰

The Hub located at UEA SportsPark, offers sessions which are designed for people of all abilities, using adapted cycles in a safe outdoor environment. Youโ€™ll have the opportunity to ride specially adapted cycles (or bring your own), with support from paid coaches and volunteers who provide helmets and guidance ๐Ÿ˜

A big thank you to everyone at UEA SportsPark for making this happen โ€” we canโ€™t wait to see the sessions come to life and welcome new faces every Sunday ๐Ÿšดโ€โ™‚๏ธโค๏ธ

Last Friday, a group of Kingโ€™s Trust students from Worsley College took on a sponsored bike ride at our Cleavley Track Hub in Salford โ€” aiming to cycle a marathon distance between them (thatโ€™s 105 laps! ๐Ÿ˜ฎ).

With everyone completing ten laps each, they absolutely smashed their target in just 40 minutes! ๐Ÿ‘

Funds raised will be shared between Wheels for All and another community project the students are supporting a brilliant example of teamwork and determination

A huge thank you to all the students and staff involved for their amazing effort and support โ€” youโ€™ve made a real difference! โค๏ธ๐Ÿšฒ

They did it! ๐ŸŽ‰

You might remember earlier this year we told you that the residents of Acorn Village will be cycling 50 miles over summer to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the organisation and we are thrilled to say that last week they absolutely smashed that target!

Cycling at the Acorn Village Wheels for All hub using our range of adapted cycles, participants clocked up over 50 miles throughout August and September - an incredible achievement! ๐Ÿšดโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿ’ช

Since opening its doors in 1972 to its first 13 residents with learning disabilities, Acorn Village has grown to support over 55 residents and tenants, with more than 100 people benefiting from its day services and workshops. Their motto, โ€œLife is for Living,โ€ continues to shine through everything they do.

Weโ€™re so proud to see our inclusive cycling sessions playing a part in such a meaningful celebration. ๐Ÿ’œ

You can still show your support for this fantastic challenge here: https://www.justgiving.com/page/50-miles-this-summer

Meet Eleanor and Phoebe!

At the LinkAble Inclusive Games in Surrey earlier this summer, sisters Eleanor and Phoebe experienced something truly special โ€” cycling together for the very first time โค๏ธ๐Ÿšฒ

With support from our South team and one of our adapted cycles, the girls shared a moment their family will never forget. Itโ€™s a wonderful reminder of how inclusive cycling can open up opportunities for everyone to enjoy the benefits of cycling.

A huge thank you to Eleanor, Phoebe and their mum, Alison, for letting us tell this heartwarming story ๐Ÿฅฐ
