A door to door Ullswater Way bucket list day - hike the ups & easy run the rest - 20 miles, 980 m elevation. Added challenge of beating the heat! The result was one of the most epic mornings 😃 sunrise, quiet paths, stunning views, far too much food consumed 😅, a spectacular air show & far far too many videos/pictures taken 😂 Bloody loved it!

When no-one wanted to join in i put my big girl pants on. 214 Wainwrights, 173 hiked solo & 1 trusted pair of boots 😅 …. i did it!!!

A stunner of a day in Borrowdale 😍

Two months ago i suffered a partial lung collapse (spontaneous pnuemothorax), no known cause & it was unknown when/whether i’d be able to continue doing what i love. One of my acute facial reactions during recovery wasn’t ideal either. Being back running and hiking is 👌🏽 & being well enough to go on an adventure trip to Madeira with was amazing. Physical fitness and the power of the mind should never be underestimated!! That just leaves 3 Wainwrights to go 😃😬 mission set to complete before Easter 🤞

Maverick Osprey 2024 - 25km, 1200m total ascent - Gnarly, wet, muddy, challenging BUT the location, the atmosphere & the camaraderie were 👌🏽. Thank you for an amazing event 😃

In a race where, i believe, there was only 1 amazing V50 female my thoughts went to that being me in 18 months. Coming home as the 2nd V40 female & 14th female overall made me super proud

I’m a great believer in saying yes to trying new experiences & pushing yourself out of your comfort zone. But most of all i’m grateful; grateful that my body is allowing me to continue to do what i love 🥰🙌🏽

Me thinks my adventure streak is catching 🙂

In the summer of 2025 Isla will be 15 years old & spending a month in Kenya as a volunteer.

A key part of the expedition is to fundraise the cost.

On Saturday 21st September 2024 Isla will be hiking the 20 mile Ullswater Way. Totally out of her comfort zone, it will be an interesting day 😁.
