Don't forget our Big Wigan Bike Week kicks off with a special event at Leigh Sports Village this morning... in celebration of World Bicycle Day (Saturday 3 June).

🚲 9.00am – 12.00pm Leigh Bike Library
Loan a bike and other cycling equipment for up to a month at a time by signing up for our new ‘bike library’ service. Free to residents of Wigan Borough! You can also get your bike checked over by our Dr Bike team.

🚲 9.30am - 10.45am: Go Ride Session (ages 7-11)
Pennington Spinners will be hosting a fun session for 7-11-year-olds with British Cycling qualified coaches teaching bike skills in a safe, traffic-free environment.

🚲 11.30am – 12.30pm Let’s Ride Family Guided Ride
Join us as we set out from Leigh Youth Hub along cycle-friendly paths to take in the beautiful Pennington Hall Park and the surrounding area. The emphasis is on having a pleasant ride at a pace that suits you (lasts approx. 45-60 minutes).

Having Jewish ancestry increases your risk of having a BRCA gene fault which significantly increases risk of breast and ovarian cancer.

NHS England is now offering free BRCA gene testing for anyone living in England, aged 18 or over with one or more Jewish grandparent, of any type of Jewish origin

BRCA refers to two genes, BRCA1 and BRCA2, that every one of us has. These genes play an important role in the prevention of cancer.
