It’s crazy how many people who come to me for help because their overweight, unhealthy and need to drop body fat for their health…

Who will say their nutrition isn’t bad or it’s actually ok

This isn’t their fault, they just lack education at the moment with their nutrition which has been massively messed up from following diets, poorly educated personal trainers and the snakes who sell programs on here (who most aren’t even qualified)

They become desperate for results and follow everything which claims to work… even the stuff promising life changing results in 7 days or something

You Won’t Out Work Your Nutrition šŸ”

When it comes to getting your fat loss results, you won’t be able to out train your unhealthy habits which made you unhealthy in the first place

I’ve done a lot of diets with most based around eating less and cutting out food groups…

I’ve done the double sessions per day

I’ve done the 7 days per week

Every single client I’ve come across who needed to lose body fat, it was never the training which was the main problem..

It’s always the nutrition

But once you get your head around this side, the whole thing falls into place much faster

I’ve been a personal trainer 13 years now and a nutritionist for 7 years

My best ever results come for my clients after I understood nutrition and learnt how this all works

When I was a personal trainer, I had no clue what I was doing and usually pushed my own nutrition onto others

I had that boring approach of clean eating around nutrition that I see a lot of PTs still using and that’s not healthy

The principles of nutrition are the same, but the methods have to be tailored

If you’ve spent 10 years gaining body fat, creating unhealthy habits and behaviours around your food and daily lifestyle

It’s going to take more than 10 days to sort this out

We live in a world where we want everything now

The world has moved to deliver on this for most things in life

But when it comes to your health, it takes time and you’re going to have to do the work

You’re going to have to do a lot of work to fix the foundations and create a healthy lifestyle to deliver your results that you can also sustain

There’s basics we all need to do on a daily basis but the plan has to be tailored to you

You will have set backs

It won’t be a straight line

It’s going to take time

Anxiety With The the Gym 😢

I was chatting with a lady on Friday to see how her journey down at the hub at been

One question I asked her…

How do you feel today, right now compared to walking in that very first time?

She said loads of things on how she now has more confidence, energy, less pains in her joints, happier etc

She’s a better role model for her kids which is always amazing to hear

But she also said less anxious, especially with exercise

Starting something new can be very scary and step a lot never make around health and fitness

I remember walking up to the door at jujitsu and not walking in

It’s the first time I’d ever felt this and something which made me turn around and not do it when it came to sport

I’d felt it around things like needles (can’t stand these) and other stuff I wasn’t comfortable with

But this fear we build up in our heads…

Is never as bad as what the reality of the situation is

The gym isn’t scary, but it can built up in your head to be

Jujutsu was amazing, all the fears I’d built up weren’t true

Temptations šŸ°

There will never be a time you don’t come across temptations on your weight loss journey

They will come most days from friends, family, colleagues or in your general day to day life being out and about

You can’t just avoid going out to stop this

You have to create better behaviours and habits to handle these situations so you can stay on track to becoming healthy

This doesn’t mean never having them

But you can’t have them all the time

You have to compromise and at the start when you’re not great and you’re learning about nutrition, you’re going to need more discipline

If you want to learn how to create a lifestyle you can enjoy your food and get / stay healthy long term
