EURIECA® training remains fully compliant with HSE and GWO requirements.
Trauma Resus has been made aware of some observations from the UK Health and Safety Executive (HSE) regarding the Global Wind Organisation (GWO) EFA standard, with references to drowning and the ACOP standard for oil and gas platforms.
We want to reassure our clients with the below message from the Trauma Resus Clinical Governance team:
MEDICAL DIRECTOR FOR TRAUMA RESUS, DR PETER BARRETT, ON EURIECA® TRAINING
"The EURIECA® course maps to Level D of the Royal College of Surgeons Pre Hospital Emergency Medicine Skills (PHEM) Framework and is the most advanced first aid course available in the UK for non-healthcare pre-hospital providers caring for patients as a secondary role. EURIECA® training includes the management of drowning in mandatory Pre-Course E-Learning as well as classroom-based theory and practical scenario-based sessions. In addition, EURIECA® already meets the ACOP standard.
Therefore, we are delighted to confirm that EURIECA® maps across to First Aid at Work standards, fully complies with the HSE and GWO EFA requirements and Trauma Resus clients do not need to action any changes in advanced first aid training."
