Oakley Grange Care Home celebrates its first anniversary with music, food, and games on Tuesday, August 19, from 2pm to 4pm, thanking supporters.

We’ve slowly started to get more people involved in our slow walks, and it’s all coming together beautifully. We’ve also enjoyed arts and crafts, music, and just having a wonderful time. Plus, the ladies have really enjoyed having their nails done! It’s been a lovely week with the residents at Oakley Grange!

🎉 A Very Special Birthday at Oakley Grange!

Today we’re celebrating the birthday of our wonderful Admin Assistant, Elaine!

Elaine was greeted with a surprise this morning as she arrived to find her desk beautifully decorated in honour of her special day. If you’ve ever visited Oakley Grange, chances are you’ve been welcomed by Elaine’s warm smile and kind nature — not to mention her legendary cups of tea!

Elaine is truly the heart of our front desk and an invaluable part of the Oakley Grange team. Thank you for everything you do, Elaine; we’re so lucky to have you.

🎬 Spotlight on Our Cinema at Oakley Grange 🎬

At Oakley Grange, we’re proud to offer a variety of beautiful spaces for our residents to enjoy; and today, we’re shining a light on one of our favourites: the cinema room.

This comfortable and easily accessible space is open to both residents and their families, providing the perfect setting to relax and unwind with a favourite film. With the freedom to come and go as you please and the option to choose your own movie, it’s just like having a private cinema experience right at home.

We’re also delighted to run our Dementia Cinema Club on the 1st and 3rd Monday of every month, specially curated to create a warm, familiar and enjoyable experience for those living with dementia.

This week has been wonderfully busy with our residents! We’ve enjoyed coloring, playing Scrabble, gardening, having fun with games and quizzes, a bit of bowling, and some lovely walk’s together.

We’ve had the most fantastic afternoon with a fun-filled trip to Leamington Tenpin.

There was a real buzz of excitement as we got ready to go, and once we hit the lanes, the competitive spirit came alive! Who knew our residents were such bowling pros?

A huge congratulations to Josephine, our crowned champion, who wore her winner’s medal with pride 🏅. Maureen wasn’t far behind, finishing a very close second.

It was a brilliant outing full of laughter, cheers, and strikes, we can’t wait for our next game!

A Heartfelt Surprise for a Truly Remarkable Lady 💙

Today has been nothing short of wonderful as we celebrated an extraordinary woman, Marianne who has dedicated an incredible 50 years to the NHS.

Following our NHS Big Tea event last month, we were contacted by one of the talented singers from The BIG Sing choir, asking if we’d like to take part in a surprise celebration for their fellow member, Marianne. We didn’t hesitate to say yes!

This afternoon, members of the The BIG Sing Choir joined us at Oakley Grange for a beautiful performance enjoyed by residents and staff alike. What Marianne didn’t know, was that the whole event was in her honour!

After the final song, we revealed the surprise with a heartfelt presentation of gifts and speeches, including a special tribute from the Mayor of Whitnash, Adrian Barton.

And of course, no Oakley Grange celebration would be complete without a fabulous cake, lovingly made by our amazing kitchen team. 🎂

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make today so special and most of all, to Marianne, for five decades of outstanding service, care, and commitment to our NHS and community. You are truly inspiring.
