Preparing for School Virtual Support Sessions.

Is your child over the age of three?

You might be interested to know that the Warwickshire Health Visiting Service provides informative online support sessions aimed at helping you and your child prepare for school.

The Warwickshire Health Visiting Service provides self-weighing facilities in Alcester, North Warwickshire, Rugby, Leamington Spa, Southam, and Warwick, allowing parents to track their child's weight.

📢UPDATE:A gentle reminder that you will need to bring your baby’s blanket along to the appointment, to use on the scales. Paper roll is no longer provided by the service.

Access is by appointments only and can be booked through Eventbrite.

Did you know you can message us for confidential advice and support?

If you’d like to chat to a health visitor you can message us on our ChatHealth text service 07520 615293.

9:00am – 4.30 pm
Monday to Friday
(excluding bank and public holidays).

All texts are responded to within 24 hours by a health visitor. All texts sent outside of the service working hours will be responded to by a return message, informing you that your text will be responded to when the service re-opens.

Warwickshire Health Visiting provides drop-in clinics for parents and carers who have concerns or require support for children aged five and under.

Our clinics offer the opportunity for parents and carers to seek support on common topics such as sleep patterns, developmental milestones, introducing solid foods, and toilet training.

If you reside in Warwickshire and need support for a child aged five or younger, please visit a clinic in your area.

As part of the Health Visiting Service, local Children and Family Centres now offer 'self-weigh' baby facilities.

These facilities are designated for non-walkers up to 18 months of age, and you must make a booking to attend. You can find a complete list of venues and links to the Eventbrite page for bookings on our Linktree: https://tr.ee/5unXNE3tIW

Please Note:
- A health professional will not be present at the self-weigh facilities; they are intended for parents and caregivers to monitor their child's weight and record it in the red book.
- These facilities are not suitable for situations involving health concerns. If you have such concerns, we recommend reaching out to the Health Visiting Team for support and advice or visiting one of our drop-in clinics.
