If you've ever felt achy the day after a massage and wondered if something went wrong, it didn't. That's actually really common.
What you're feeling is similar to the soreness you get after a good workout. Your muscles have been worked, and they're just responding to that. It tends to ease off within 24 to 72 hours.
Here's the thing though, soreness doesn't mean the massage worked better. Some people feel it, some don't. Both are completely normal.
What does help is a bit of simple aftercare: drink some water, have a normal meal, maybe a gentle walk or a warm shower. And give yourself a pass on any intense exercise that same day.
Your body does a lot of the processing after you leave the table, so it's worth being kind to it to get the most out of your treatment.
