First Aid is a vital skill. I was talking to a group on Friday who were confused about community defibrillators. This equipment is there to be used when needed by ANYONE, whether trained or not. And this equipment really does SAVE LIVES!!

This is something I experienced as a front line medic.

Ambulance staff face the possibility of violence and aggression every time they start a shift. On average, TASC sees around 1-2 ambulance staff a week who have experienced some sort of violence at work, and over half have been physical assaulted!

Ambulance staff are there to care for others when they are at their most vulnerable, and they deserve to be able to work without fear.
