Due to the extremely hot weather, we are seeing a rise in visits for insect bites, dehydration, and alcohol-related issues.

Please help us keep ED free for life-threatening emergencies by following these tips:

• Hydrate regularly - aim for 6-8 glasses of water a day
• Use insect repellent and treat bites at home with antihistamines
• Drink alcohol sensibly - know your limits and stay cool
• Visit your pharmacist or NHS 111 online for non-urgent care

Thank you for helping us help those who need it most.

🎗 July is Sarcoma Cancer Awareness Month 💛
Let’s shine a light on the “forgotten cancer.”

Sarcoma is a rare and often overlooked cancer that forms in bones and soft tissues like muscles, tendons, fat, and blood vessels. It represents only about 1% of adult cancers—but its impact is deeply felt by those affected.

đź’› Know the Signs. Save a Life.
Sarcoma can be difficult to detect early, but here are some common symptoms to watch for:

🔸 A lump or swelling (often painless) that grows over time
🔸 Persistent pain in a bone or joint
🔸 Limited range of motion
🔸 Unexplained fractures
🔸 Fatigue or unexplained weight loss
🔸 Abdominal pain or fullness (in case of internal tumors)

If you or someone you love notices any of these symptoms, don’t wait—speak to a doctor. Early detection can make all the difference.

* Important Update*

NHS Weight Loss Medications -

Tirzepatide (Mounjaro) is not currently available in Coventry & Warwickshire.

Although this weight loss medication has been approved nationally for a small group of eligible patients, it CANNOT be prescribed by our GP’s in our area at this time.

A new local NHS obesity service is being developed and is expected to launch later in 2025. We will share clear guidance with patients as soon as the service becomes available.

Until then, ask us information about existing lifestyle support programmes and weight management services.
