Bigger and Better - fighting back against Parkinson's

*Sailing for Parkinson's at Midland Sailing Club*
It was too windy to safely sail yesterday unfortunately but we had a motor boat tour of the reservoir and were shown around the sail boats.
They were a super friendly bunch, and we’ve been assured that the sailability boats are impossible to capsize and super easy to steer! 😊 If you’re already a competent sailor, they’ve got a selection of other boats you can have a go in. You can also have a go at paddle boarding.
Sessions will be running weekly until November then restarting again in March, with no commitment to attend each week. If you’ve ever fancied trying sailing, or want to get back to a hobby you used to enjoy, I’d definitely pay them a visit. Weather is looking perfect for next Thursday - don't forget your sun screen! ⛵️

We all thought our member Jackie, who lives with Parkinson's, was crazy when she decided to jump out of a plane in aid of Parkinson's UK last year! This year, to continue with the craziness, she is going to be whizzing through the mountains at 100mph on the world fastest zip wire in aid of Cure Parkinson's!
She is looking for other people with Parkinson's (or their supporters) to join her on October 11th at Zip World in North Wales. If you are keen, please send me a private message and I can pass on your details 💙

What a fabulous day by Sport Parkinson's 💙 There was Nordic walking, judo, tennis, rowing and walking cricket to name just a few! Plus some amazing demos in the expert zone. Great to see some of fabulous friends and colleagues too Neuro Heroes Reach your Peak with Parkinsons PD WARRIOR - Bristol, UK Parkinson's UK Parkinson’s Pioneers Women’s Walking Football Community - all helping people with Parkinson’s to keep health and strong ‘til a cure comes along! We can’t wait for next year’s Sport Parkinson’s ’Try’athalon day!
