We it would be busy but this is crazy. Extra “magic” hours make no difference.

“Normal for age” I hear this a lot about testosterone levels. What does that mean? 40 = more tired, 50 = no s*x? 60= everything aches? Evidence shows keeping testosterone at a healthy level is better for you. Don’t fall into the cultural narrative

A quick evidence based approach on how you can improve your testosterone production naturally, without the aid of pills or drugs.

Today I was asked to go on to discuss the cancer diagnosis of King Charles. We also discussed Men's Health in general, and the struggles within the NHS.

Frailty is becoming a major problem in our ageing population, and we now know that testosterone replacement is a safe and effective medicine for most men. TRT improves bone density, muscle mass, and mood and will help reduce frailty and health risk. So why not? Age should not limit patient choice.

Thanks for posting any queries around testosterone or myths or rumours that you had heard of. Greatly appreciate it

There is no national screening for prostate cancer for men... PSA testing is an "as you need it" service, and we spend little time in public health talking about how to reduce the risk of cancer in the first place. BUT, it's not all gloom and doom, and advances in imaging mean fewer men need biopsies now, and we also know that testosterone does not affect your prostate cancer risk

Is Glen Powell challenging the Hollywood norm with his all-natural approach? 🎬💪

In his recent GQ interview, Powell stressed that unlike many actors, he’s not using any medicinal shortcuts to achieve his physique. Instead, he credits a healthy, active upbringing, solid training, and good nutrition.

Sure, he’s experimented with things like cold plunges and even a “super coffee” (a mix of ashwagandha, reishi, cordyceps, which he admits may be going too far), but ultimately, his message is about keeping things real.

Could this redefine what it means to be a leading man in Hollywood? Maybe the future of fitness is less about extremes and more about balance.

👉 What do you think, should Hollywood celebrate the natural approach more?

Worried TRT might cause breathing issues?

The truth is, testosterone replacement therapy does NOT directly impact your lungs or respiratory system. The only exception is if you already have untreated sleep apnea, where TRT could make it worse. For men over 40 exploring hormone optimisation, rest assured, TRT on its own is safe for your breathing.

Is there a standard TRT dose? 💉

The truth is, no one-size-fits-all. Your testosterone replacement therapy dose should be personalised with your doctor to fit your unique health profile.

Taking more TRT to build muscle or boost athletic performance? ❌

That’s where it crosses into unsafe territory, essentially anabolic steroid use. Going beyond optimal levels can increase risks of blood clots and heart damage.

The goal with TRT is to optimise your natural testosterone for energy, muscle strength, and longevity, not to push past healthy limits.

Does TRT cause hair loss? Sometimes... but it depends on your genetics.

👉 If baldness doesn’t run in your family, testosterone replacement therapy won’t suddenly make your hair fall out.
👉 If you already have thinning hair or a strong family history, TRT may bring you back to your natural baseline, which can mean some hair loss shows up.

The good news is, hair thinning on TRT can be managed and isn’t a reason to avoid treatment. For men over 40, the benefits of optimised testosterone, more energy, muscle strength, and better mood, often outweigh the risks.
